Without blame, but not my case
For many conductors the baton is only a working tool, which is not subject to aesthetic considerations. For me this is different: it should not only sound nice, but also look like this. That's why I chose the Lancio series from Mollard, even if the Lancio series, if you do not want to go back on hand-made bars, is in the high-end range.
As used by Mollard, the tactile is perfectly balanced. The focus, however, is not, as with most other bars, above the handle, but at the waist of the handle. And I do not like that. I prefer a handle in the hand, gladly also in drop form or similar.
The workmanship is mollard-like without blame, but for the money one can also buy two "normal" clocks of Mollard. However, if you can dispense with a safe grip in the hand, this tactic is highly recommended since the metal handle, thanks to the roughened surface and rubber rings, is absolutely secure in your hand and does not slip. It also does not discolor during prolonged use and sweating hands.
