If you want a noisy stand, this is perfect for you
Braddie, 22.03.2020
I've had this stand for a while and kinda gave up on it. I'm using it with the Thomann T-bone MB-85BETA mic and a Scarlett 2i2. It's mostly used for streaming or talking with friends on Discord, but I also sometimes use it to record some guitar.

My initial impressions were that it was flimsy, but seemed like it would work fine for my needs. The springs are stiff and hard to move around and make a lot of noise when you do so. Someone else mentioned that this goes away, but after almost a year of owning it that hasn't happened with mine. Every time you touch the stand you will get a lot of resonant noise coming from the springs through the hollow metal of the stand. I also started getting complaints from my friends on Discord about a very loud buzzing sound coming from my microphone. This was gone when I switched to the mic on my headset. I tried moving the stand to a different spot, changing inputs on my soundcard and nothing worked. I then tried the other XLR cable I bought from Thoman called the Sssnake and that fixed the issue completely. So the issue is in the crappy cable that is supplied with this stand, but the problem is that you can't remove the cable without cutting it because it's threaded through the stand body and the connectors can't fit through that. Don't waste your money on this, just spend it on a proper stand.

Male voices, something to consider
Muldor, 01.10.2019
For the money this is a great table stand, but is had one major drawback: low frequency resonance in combination with a Shure SM7B.

When you touch it, or move something around on the table it's attached to the MA-2050 will produce a very audible +/- 30 Hz tone. This is off course also due to the weight of the Shure SM7B, not the smallest or most anorexic microphone. But it's a bit useless for me in this situation since my voice (over) sounds unacceptable thin when a high-pass filter successfully counters the effect of the resonating MA-2500.

I won't send it back, for the money it's an excellent stand that I could use for other purposes; but for the recording of a deep male speaking voice with the most commonly used dynamic microphone (that needs a whopping 60 dB's of amplification) this stand cannot be used without steep high-pass filtering.

Something that could have been noticed during the design process I guess, but again, at such a bargain... Maybe some elastic bands will dampen the effect, but I need something hassle-free..

Pros: Price & cable, brainless bargain.
Cons: Zhooooooooommmmmmmm.... when touched..

Works well, does what it is supposed to
Kaiviti, 30.12.2019
Bought for my son to use with his computer as he was fed up with headset microphones generally being rubbish. I picked up a secondhand t.bone USB large diaphragm condenser mike and got this to hold it. At first I was a bit concerned that the microphone would be too heavy and would sag or move down over time but so far not, it stays where placed and doesn't suffer from noise or vibration - needless to say my son is well happy and appreciates the convenience and flexibilty of the stand as well of course the quality of the microphone.

Probably the only con is that the stand is made for a regular XLR connection with the cable threaded through it whereas with a USB microphone the cable is obviously different - not really an issue but just needs a few mins work and a handful of cable ties.

I suppose our use case here is similar to a podcaster/YouTube/radio DJ application and given our experience I think this would be a good choice.

Microphone Arm.
Johnny Silverhand, 12.07.2020
Used it for streaming, and other of the sort.

It did its job, you get what you pay for the amount of money, if you're someone who does extensive work behind the microphone this might not be it.

Its quite stiff, the screwing is cheap plastic, sometimes It just sled off the edge of the table unfortunately. And the squeeling of the metal in between can get pretty annoying.

Otherwise if you just plan on using it here and there for talking, set it up to an angle and you're good .
