Sharp as a knife :°)
Wonderful snappy sound, supported by woody undertones. Unique and unprecedented character. In my case, an addition to my percussion palette, next to bongo's over my 3-piece set of conga's. Quite a different accent !

Meinl MCS1-BK Mountable Cajon Snare
Used with a pedal on the cajon and a hi-hit this gives a very reasonable acoustic kit.
sound is not as good as the snare on my cajon but it cuts well when played with hotrods.
the bracket can slip and is not the greatest but it has gigged for two months and held up months well... so far!

not for drumsticks
unfortunately broken during its first performance...
definitely not for wood drumsticks especially if you are planning to play it hard!
suitable for brushes or softer sticks...
but sounds good!
