Best Quality for The Price, Amazingly Versatile Tone
Bilo18 29.11.2019
Got this bass in hope to be the best first bass option, Ive played fender mustangs and jazz basses and thought this would be ideal for the price. Literally playable straight out of the box, (some may prefer a lower action). I use it regularly for gigs.

Pros:
1. Amazing Craftsmen-ship, well done Sire. Everything sits snug. and truly a Fantastic looking Bass.
2. The feel is great, those rounded fret board edges are spot on.
3. Tonal options are great, both pickups sound great, and a versatile tone selection, as well as the active and passive modes.
4. Smooth playability on the neck with that satin finish mhmm... yessir
5. Tuner Heads are stable and keep it in tune for a while.
6. Weight isn't actually as heavy as expected being a swamp ash body, haven't looked underneath the pickguard yet but it maybe hollow?
7. Strings really resonate on that body!

Cons:
1a. The tone and volume knobs are not the quality I expected, unfortunately if one of the combo knobs is moved both are moved simultaneously (can be a nuisance if your changing EQ live)
1b. Also the consistency of the sensitivity is off (some are easier to move than others)
2. I wish Sire would come out with more pickguard options, but thats just my opinion ;)

Overall this is Bass is great whether your a regular bass player in a band or you jam at home or are recording. For the price any buyer is honestly getting a bargain, only issue is if they could make the knobs a little more stable, but then again for this price I could just get an EQ pedal along with it! Very happy and satisfied with my purchase.

So.Damn.Good.

The bass was bought as a second instrument, but has quickly got to be the first. Ready-to-play condition right from the box - tuning, scale, thrust-rod, action - everything`s fine. Very good quality, good-looking, sounds awesome. I can hardly name another P-base in this price category to be as good as this one, I really did not expect this level of satisfaction. Hot deal, highly recommend.

Wish I spent more for another Bass
Catzer101 19.01.2021
Had this Bass for a long time now. It's good no doubt, gets the job done. Personally i find it very dependent on what amp you're plugging it into. I find it difficult to get a nice sound while recording. A friend of mine feels the same.

All and all it's good but after a year I can't help but feel I should have forked out the extra money for something more tried and tested.

Great Sounding Bass
Ronsthebg 19.08.2019
I purchased this Marcus Miller P7 as an alternative to my Fender Jazz for live performances. I actually started to use it as my primary bass and I didn't expect that. I love the 18V preamp since I go direct to the mixer with a passive DI which maintains my tone perfectly. The only issue for me was the black knobs being plastic, However, I'll change them in the future. The bass came basically ready for playing but I did lower the action a small amount. It is a great bass for the price and I am really thrilled to add it to my set.
