Hi, I have the woofer recently added as an addition to my Mackie MR8 (first generation and MK1).
- sound like habit super (am with my MR8 after all the years still completely satisfied, exchanged the probably only once something limes - which I do not think work perfectly like the first day - so Thumbs up for Mackie)
- Setting went easy from the hand. Cable from the audio interface into the woofer and from the woofer to the monitors. Then simply select the desired crossover frequency and adjust. It fits nicely into the sound image without being intrusive.
- Thrust is definitely present, if someone wants simply a little more pressure untenrum. For me, the main reason was to be able to mix my tracks better, or to find possible interference frequencies or bass problems quickly. Then I decided to make a good deal, because I really got a lot of bass and punch in those genres.
- Features that still exist: Polarity switch (if phase problems occur) and also still quite fine: Auto Power on - is called, only on receipt of low frequencies, the woofer switches on, think that saves also the one or the other Watt. :)
How the woofer sounds in conjunction with other systems, of course I can not judge, but I think that would not be synonymous sense of the thing (crossbranding) ...
So, enough written, for my part am definitely satisfied and give him gladly 5 well-deserved stars.
