Magic pickup
Marco Leali 13.08.2023
This is genuinely one of the best pickups I've ever played. It sounds both clear and warm, punchy and sweet, aggressive and soothing. It never appears shrill or offending in any way when played through a clean amp; this turns into pure magic when played with overdrive! You get a rich, crunchy sound that always remains transparent.
It also ventures into extreme overdrive territory if needed. The sound you get is creamy and round, but still quite clear, though this is not its ideal environment. All my metalhead friends were nonetheless impressed by it played through various high-gain amps.
Even the (2.2k partial) split sound is great, a little bit tele-ish, though never too ice picky.
I installed it on an epiphone les paul standard 60s, paired with an SD Seth Lover on the neck, and had a wonderful middle position without any phase issues.
As a bottom line, it is a little expensive, but this pickup is worth every penny.
