Cable ad (with smears)

25.12.2016
I bought myself as an all-in-one home solution, the new Spider V 240 (by the way, a great amp, no matter how many "professionals" the bad news) and wanted to try the wireless feature. The transmitter is only needed individually, because the receiver is integrated in the amp and also serves as a charging station (plug in the transmitter, turn on the amp, charge).
For the first start-up you have to plug the transmitter into the switched-on amp, so that the two pair up. Then you can start on FAST all guitars. Why only almost all guitars?

The transmitter uses a stereo plug, on one channel of the sound is transmitted and the other takes over the charge. In my Epiphone EJ-200SCE and Fender CF-60CE, however, the sockets are soldered so that the sound arrives on the charging channel.
The solution is to re-solder guitar jack or a mono-to-mono jack adapter to take (I have a Hosa angle adapter taken, so I have defused right now this unspeakable Gurtpin Bush Combo). At the moment I use this with the adapter, at the next Neubesaiten I will fix the sockets, so that I could use the transmitter directly (even if I will keep the angle adapter).
Line 6 is there in my opinion, however, only partially guilty, since there is no standard, which channel is taken for what and a detection circuit for automatic adjustment of the transmitter would drive the price probably disproportionate.

The positive outweighs this problem, however, by far:
Totally delay-free, wireless gaming on all my electric guitars from now on. Short coupled in the amp, stuck in the Les Paul and "zack": sound there. No dropouts, I can move around the house without getting broken (so it will be enough for the stage), no interference by WLANs or similar. Networks, since Line 6 uses its own area outside the usual wireless networks and the battery was chock full after 4 hours of initial charge and has not visible even after two hours of continuous play discharged (3-bar display in the amp). It was delivered with a beam of cargo so you can pair and test right away.
Very nice is the mute by means of a pin in the plug. As soon as the transmitter is removed, the transmitter is switched off and annoying cracking when changing is over. Especially when looping with different guitars that is very pleasant. Play the bass, change the guitar, play in the rhythm, change the guitar, solos until the doctor comes and not once does it clatter when changing :)

I'm going to get a Transmitter & Receiver set for my other amps, because without clutter, the whole thing is even more fun.
If you are not deterred by the problem with active customers and preamps, you will get an otherwise trouble-free and comfortable wireless solution.
