There isses!

David V, 29.09.2015
In the first place again a big praise to the Thomann team, that one also extrawurst wishes are fulfilled! This one was mine and I did not think it would make the micro directly into the portfolio! All the better, then I can go with good cash directly buy the next;)

Why now such a Heckmeck around the micro?

The micro I've been in the interests focus for some time. Lewitt was only present here with her large diaphragm mics.

Since I was reluctant to give the Stanni stuff à la Sm57 / 58, I looked for a suitable, if not better model and found with the MTP 840 definitely.
There are also dynamic microphones from Lewitt in the comparable price range (eg MTP340) like Shure, but I wanted to test this as the first, because the range of functions promises much.

Even though I was only able to use it on two events for language, it has me, without that I have already made settings on the microphone, really satisfied. No feedback, great speech intelligibility and a true-to-life rendition. At comparable events, I had to counter with nem SM58.

The processing is also really what. Robust and easy to hold. The grid basket can be easily turned off (perhaps slightly too light). In the matching case the microphone is in good hands.

So, as I said, I definitely give myself several more and hope for Lewitt that there will still be a sales boom.

Because with such a ease of care in handling and the performance, I'm also gladly ready to put 100 loops more than for a Sm58.

There is a more detailed report when the microphone has some more assignments.

Interesting

Wolfgang4816, 15.09.2016
With great expectations and in anticipation of the technical additions with LED lights, switchable filter and built-in amplification, I have tested it for myself and my wife in comparison with other microphones.
For our voices, it did not fit, but that is individual and does not have to mean anything. The micro made a very well processed impression, sounded quite open and with ample heights, felt somewhat dry.
Very good I liked the possibility of the low cut - also in several stages. The gain is not bad when you need it. A little practical is the fact that the small switches can only be operated with the enclosed tool. Super, on the other hand, are inscription and the mini LED lights for the external control of the switching states.
I send the micro back, since the sound does not suit my taste.
