Great monitor amp for 'quick instant' rehearsals.
Pete-plays-guitar, 17.06.2016
I wanted a small amp to use with 2 or 3 people to sit around for rehearsals i.e. keyboard, acoustic guitar and two microphones etc.

Probably, due to my laziness, it is much quicker and easier than setting up a mixer, amp, cables, monitor speakers etc. But you can be up and rehearsing very quickly, plug in and off you go. The wedge shape is really nice which is why I purchased it rather than other box shaped units.

The sound is very clean. At 'volume off' there is a discernible 'pop and hiss' when switching the unit on, but the hiss is not noticeable once playing.

The graphic equalizer is nice to get rid of close proximity feedback from the microphones without colouring the overall sound too much. High and Low on the Mic channels channels again for basic but useable tone control of the vocals.

It is nice that the unit has an extension socket for another speaker cab and I could see myself quite happily using it for a small acoustic gig. The volume of the unit itself can go quite loud without the sound breaking up and it is maintaining a clean sound.

The only worry I have is that the knobs feel a little flimsy but only time will tell, but they don't feel that robust to survive a few knocks.

The basic echo / delay is OK, but I run the mics through a separate effects units anyway, but for a quick practice session it is good to add a little something to the sound, again without the hassle of extra units and cables.

Originally thought the price was a bit steep, but after several hours of playing around with it with a small group of people, paired with another wedge monitor cab it is an excellent rehearsal monitor system and now convinced it is well worth the price.

Very happy with the purchase.

One year on update: This has become my number one amp for acoustic guitar practice if you are plugging in and using effects and maybe a mic to sing. The sound is so clean and bright with plenty of headroom. Now after some use I am EXTREMELY happy with the purchase! Forget the expensive (but smallish) acoustic guitar amps, get one of these.

Great and versatile piece of gear!!
Handling experience is about 2 years now. I use it to power up a small band in a little cafe. Its sound projection is omnidirectional not like a stage monitor with narrow projection field. High resistance to feedback. Good performance at low volumes. Enough power to make us heard, but not too much to sound uncomfortable for the listeners. Best suits for direct input/monitoring for electronic drums, acoustic-electric guiars and basses. Very good sound as a dedicated bass combo or a keyboard/digital piano amplifier. Excellent and truthful sound monitor for records and in some applications for mastering for example when you need to fight boominess of the record. It will help you find the right frequency balance in the mix. Great mic preamps in channel 1-2. Built-in delay is most of the time useless as effect to my kind of music. Overall comment is that it is very useful for me in many applications: rehearsals, live shows, small gigs...
