Excellent.
Imaginary, 07.02.2020
I am absolutely delighted with this guitar. It is perfect.
While it is a bit on the heavy side, which is something I like, it is also well balanced. The finish is flawless and beautiful.
It is pretty straight forward, with only one volume knob and one humbucker, which is also something I was looking for and sounds great. I was thinking about upgrading the humbucker but I don't think I will, afterall!
The guitar arrived in great condition. Excluding the high end guitars, this is, surely, the best I got from Thomann.
Without a doubt, the best you can get for a budget instrument. It feels like a far more expensive piece.

I am really, really satisfied and I can't recommend it enough.

Best Budget guitar!
Steeferdesteef, 14.10.2017
Amazing sound and playability for the price. The Kramer is the best cheap guitar I've played and I played, owned and tested many.

Pros: The neck is perfect. Fretwork is perfect. Action can be set low without dead spots and without buzzing. Fast comfortable neck with smooth satin finish. The neck is not too wide and pretty thin. This thing plays like a dream. The high output pickup sounds very good. Powerful, warm not harsh and wel balanced. Perfect for rock and classic metal. Sounds good clean too.
Cons: The Vintage White isn't white. It's ugly yellowish. I really don't like the colour, bummer! The vintage tremolo system is cheap and doesn't really work. Hey, that's to be expected, these things never work well. Set it up as tight as you can, don't use the wammy and you're ok. Tuners are cheap but do the job, could be better
It's a simple guitar, not many features. What you see is what you get. I do miss a tone-knob. If I keep it I will put one in.

So far: Really good but really ugly.

80's nostalgia
08.12.2014
I bought the Kramer Baretta Special because a) I was looking for a back-up guitar for my drop C tunings, and b) because I have long been looking for this Kramer model since the late 80's, but as a young beginning guitarist I just didn't have the funds at the time.
What a great guitar this is for the price! I have owned and played Gibson SG Standards, Gibson Flying V's, Ltd Viper 1000's, but I keep coming back to these budget guitars. My main guitar is an Epiphone EM-1, which cost about the same as this Kramer, back when I bought it, and I am convinced that it came out of the same Indonesian factory as this Kramer. Those people know how to build guitars, I can tell you that!
Sure, the stock pick-up is not all that great, but I will eventually switch it out for a Seymour Duncan Blackout, just like my Epi. The other components are equally not the best out there, but more than get the job done. My guitar was well intonated upon arrival, and it keeps its tuning very well. The woodwork on the guitar is amazing for the price, the neck is nice and chunky, and very playable. No dead notes anywhere on the fretboard, and the sustain is great. What more can you want? I would recommend to any beginning guitarist, or to anyone out there looking for a fun back-up guitar to mess around with. Now where is my hairband and spandex?

Incredible for the price, I bought this because I always wanted a Kramer but you don't see many around and at this price, I figured it would just be cool to have sitting in my collection, but it's turned out to be an awesome guitar.

I would have preferred a hardtail, The trem is fine if you block it or if you want to use it, make sure you set it up properly will be useable and stay in tune, its not a floyd though but didn't buy it expecting to dive bomb with it.

Pickup sounds really good, was going to stick a JB in it but I will stick with this one for a bit, it's only 2 wire so you can't fit a coil tap. The only upgrades I will carry out are better tuners and better saddles as I have these lying around. But out of the box it's a great guitar and would rival most guitars twice it's price, certainly better than any affinity I've played. Most importantly is that it's got a great neck profile, somewhere in between charvel and ibanez, definitely a keeper.
