Top sound and good playability!

D_D, 21.10.2013
Play the SP-280 now for about a month.
In short, the device convinces with a first-class sound, in particular the piano and the wing sound with me again and again for goose bumps. Also the two banks with e-piano sounds I like very well, for the use in the
Jazz / funk / pop area you have a lot of good sounds to choose from. The installation of the pianos proved to be unproblematic, the integrated stand allows with its four feet a wackelfreies game. The two loudspeakers have proper steam, so that even without an additional system the one or the other gig can be played in a small circle. The transmission of the built-in boxes is good, the bass range is not too short and sounds transparent throughout. Thanks to Midi you can also take a few recordings (with additional hardware). The 120-voice polyphony, which not only benefits the lead-in pedal, but also allows loss-free sampling.

The feel of the game itself is very pleasant and comparable with much more expensive e-pianos and reminds quite well of a piano (I personally feel there was almost no more difference, only something like a real pressure point is missing.) In my opinion also for the attack dynamics not further Relevant, which works perfectly, who wants to have the feeling of a "real" pressure point, is probably around a "real piano" with mechanics not rumaufen or must invest significantly more).

The only drawback: Unfortunately, two buttons have begun to cackle something, which is however noticeable only with a strong keystroke.
Probably the plastic packaging of the button is too loose for the inner life, hopefully the expert can fix, therefore for me no reason for the return (for this I have the part then but gladly!). The game feeling does not suffer underneath ... only affects two keys.

If it were only about the price / performance ratio go, then full 5 stars, a point deduction for the two clicking buttons and the missing possibility directly (with a separate Midi / Usb interface but no problem). Included in the package are the stand, the holding pedal and a music stand, and above all sound, sound, sound!

Clear purchase recommendation.

Good digital piano with retro aesthetic (?)

27.12.2015
In my opinion this is a good digital piano quality / price, a kind of off-road.

I emphasize the sounds (6) of very good pianos with effects of reverb, chorus and brillance (of 3 steps each). Some sounds (6) of vintage electric pianos type rodhes or wurlizer give the catch. Very beautiful exterior design and aesthetics that certainly reminds us of these pianos, although in that aspect the sound quality and the direct is taken by the SV-1 model.
Then it has clavicord sounds (3), strings (3), jazz organs and tubes (3 of each), one of vibes, another of marimbas and another of guitar. The choir sounds (3) are not too good.

The speakers are very powerful and connectivity is one of the strengths of this piano. Audio input regardless of the volume of the piano itself, separate output on two channels (L / R), MIDI in and out, several headphone outputs one behind and the other in front. There would have been nothing wrong with a usb at this point.

The touch of the keys is very good, they have included the system they call NH (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) also present in some of their older brothers. The best expressiveness / dynamics you'll find on a digital piano is in the more expensive roland of the market but hey this one for the price is fantastic too.

Delighted with the robust type of support that reminds me of those electric pianos of the 60's, easy assembly and disassembly and perfect stability.
In addition the stand is included next to the lectern, a sustain pedal and power supply all in the same box.

What I miss about this piano is its plastic construction and I fear for the durability of the piano, just as it turns out that it lasts longer than I thought. I do not know.

Then the functions are not entirely intuitive. It has a kind of function key type shift, cntr or alt for more functions, which will require a mandatory reading by the manual.
