Best quality mic stand versus price ratio
Whitenoise AV, 21.02.2020
I've run events for years that require mic stands regularly, have used many different types and brands over the years and let me just re-state the title heading for this review.
These are the best quality mic stands vs price ratio PERIOD.
Nothing else I've come across compares with these.

Pros - build quality is fantastic for the price, locking mechanism on the arm is a very good design that doesn't damage threads easily, will last years if kept with care.

Cons - Might not be as "heavy duty" as some might require but for the price point its negligible. You would seriously be paying 4 times the price at least for the next step up in quality in my opinion.

Ive recommended these to many people who have asked me what mic stands to buy. And not one of them has regretted buying them. Some even thanked me, because there is alot of terrible stands on the market which cost more.

Product is great, but don't buy it from Thomann
GBast, 13.04.2021
I hate leaving a bad review, but my experience in buying this has been terrible. The product is great, but, if you live in the UK, DO NOT order from Thomann. Because of BREXIT, there's very hefty import taxes, WHICH THOMANN FAILS TO MENTION. I ended up having to pay an extra 50 pounds on my order to UPS, or they would not deliver my items. It's very snaky from Thomann, as they definitely should mention that, if you live in the UK, you are going to have to face these import taxes.

Simply the best
Wutwutwut, 05.01.2020
K&M products to me are the best stands on the market.

Used them for many years in all the conditions (studio/stage/open-air) and I had only a screw break after NINE YEARS of use on one of mine.

Other brands got its' METAL broken half of the time, which is... Not what you want, when it holds thousands euros worth of gear.

No cons.
And the price is a steal for this quality, especially compared to what stores in my area charge for K&M products.

If you want a microphone stand without any special extras - get this one. It's the best.

Wish certain hinges were easier to lock securily
kacper_convi, 11.01.2021
The main hinge connecting the vertical pole to the top pole is quite hard to tighten properly - especially when using at more challenging angles with a heavier mike.

It's an alright stand, but wish that all the tightening knobs felt nicer and less 'sharp' when tightening them.

Quick&Easy
jodolittle, 14.01.2021
I like the fact that they have a triangled footprint - in a small studio this is important. My only complaint is that they could do with a bit more weight sometimes, to stop them from toppling over when fully extended sideways. But a small sand bag or other counter weight soon fixes that.

It's a mic stand. If you're in need of one and you're just looking to add something to your order, just grab one.

Simple stable quality
Jake Wilder, 27.03.2021
I've had lighter microphone stands before and they would have trouble and would feel iffy with a heavy mic or extended pretty far. Thing would fall over, the tightening mechanism wouldn't be quite good enough, always a pain in the ass.

This thing does exactly what it needs to do, no more no less. Little heavier, quality product. Handles my heavier mics with ease and I never worry that it falls over. Tightening systems are rock solid. You don't want to have to fight with your mic stand and this one just stays our of your way. I love it and would get again.

Top Quality
Stephen Mcphail, 01.10.2020
I bought this mike stand to replace my Millenium MS 2005 which i have had for four years and for the price is a great mic stand, but the K&M 210/2 Black is in a totally different league, it has a really nice weight to it, very solid, all the parts are extremely robust & well made. Amazing quality for the price, you would have to pay a lot more to get as good as this with any other brand, for 35 pounds sterling don't waste your money on any other mic stand out there, you will not be disappointed.

The title says it all. You know what you're getting when you buy a K&M stand - something with great build quality that, with the proper care, will last years.

Well worth the extra few pennies
Andrew206, 15.08.2017
As soon as you open the packaging, you realise that you have a quality product, solidly built and only a few pennies more than the cheaper budget stands I've been using, which don't last five minutes. I'll definitely be purchasing more of these stands for my live sound event work in the future, thanks Thomann

THE mic stand
08.03.2017
After years and years of budget mic stands failing on me - even one adjuster or clip means the entire stand is useless - I've gone K&M a few years back and never looked back!

Best thing is, each part is replaceable so you won't need to order an entire new stand if something goes wrong.

The other best bit is that they just don't break! Two function gigs a week, used and abused by people who don't care about the (not me) and chucked in countless cars and vans and NO problems whatsoever.

Heavy enough to not fall over even at full angle with a heavy mic - the stuff of dreams.

Do yourself a favour - go K&M :)

Love K&M - mic stands are a great example of FALSE ECONOMIZING - any cheaper than this will cause you headaches, lost sleep, ruined studio sessions, mental breakdowns....all to save $40-50??

AMAZING STANDS
19.05.2015
Before I start, YES this mic stand is expensive compared to other cheeper options but trust me there is a very good reason , and when you boil all the facts down you soon realize that the stand is priceless. When I first bought these stands from Thomann I was looking for something for a couple of live shows my band and I where doing at the time and didn't want to buy anything to expensive, but, I am glad I ended up going with these stands. During the corse of the 5 shows we did , all at different locations, 2 in pubs and 3 on stages, we had 4 mic stands break due to traveling and what not, now you might argue that fact that we could have been throwing the stands around and not taking care of them but that is not the case, we try to maintain and take care of all of our equipment as much as we can and all four of us where surprised when we found they had broken. However these stands with there Super robust build quality and excellent storage capabilities (folding down to smaller size) where absolute life savers, I will definitely be buying more from Thomann in the future. Another Great product by the team! Great job guys!

There's a reason it's the industry standard
jackdpage, 14.12.2019
Unquestionably the best mic stand out there. I would never buy anything else. Easy to use, easy to repair (not that you would ever need to) and satisfyingly weighty.

These stand provides rock hard stability, they are roubust and massive, so if you have an expenssive microphone you can be fearless of falling onto the ground,Easy handling but my recommendation is to buy a protective transport bag for easy carry
