A
Simple yet effective system
Anonymous 13.05.2016
Using for 4 string tenor banjo. After a few gigs it's sounding pretty good! Good tight sound for pushing volume levels. It's easy enough to install but the large part of the pickup that isn't under the bridge needs to be taped down or held against the banjo skin using foam or paper as it vibrates and rattles when played. I just improvised as Im still experimenting. Using it with a Radial PZ PRE which offers great control. Any questions just comment and ask.
A nice pickup to have.

Super Clear Sound

I'm using this product for most than 6 months and really its change the way im thinking in pickups
I use it with my cello under right stand on the bridge and then i connect the out put to my effects..
i can give some cons and pros for the k&k definity system from my expert as a cellist and music producer:

+Clear Sound ( very near to mic sound )
+the preamp is stable
_the preamp is very powerful so if you have a live gig you connect connect you cello to the mixer after preamps it must to connect directly from the pickup( i faced this problem )
-the line of the pickup is very thin so you have to be carful to damage it

i bought this product because it was very difficult before to play live gigs with band especially if there is a drummer with (the mic it catch every thing and you can't hear your self on the stage monitor)
but now its really its like live changing
i really recommande the k&k Définit system ( preamp and pickup)
if you use effects or not the sound is really good
and the battery life for the system its very good as well ( i still use the same battery from 6 months )

k
Banjo problem-solver

This pickup + preamp system solved all my banjo amplifying problems. Good quality sound and plenty output. Trimpots inside preamp (treble and bass) give some degree of versatility in EQ. Would be more useful if they were actual potmeters on top of the box.
Pro tip: It can be powered with a 9V adapter and a small converter cable from Thomann, instead of a 9V battery.

Ich benutze das System an einer The Loar 309 und bin mit dem Sound sehr zufrieden, er kommt einer Mikrophonabnahme sehr nahe. Gute Klangregelung im Vorverstärker und einfacher Einbau.
