JHS is solid
Toefes, 17.04.2018
Compared this too my Carl Martin analog spring reverb and it sounds good in it's own way. The analog one sounds better, but this one sounds really close to the real deal! Love the product. JHS makes great pedals.

Schner Old School Federhall Sound
Robbie X, 12.09.2018
I play acoustic guitar in a sixties cover band and was looking for an effect pedal with an authentic sounding spring sound, similar to that of the twin reverb. After extensive research on the net (especially Youtube sound tests) I then decided for the following reasons for the JHS Spring Tank:
1. a good sound instead of many sound options
At live concerts, you hardly have the opportunity to choose a different reverb program for each song and then also parameterize it. The Spring Tank has exactly one sound that sounds pleasantly analog and is adjustable in the most important parameters (length, depth, sound, mix).
2. Clear operability
The large buttons for the main parameters are clearly arranged and easy to read even in low light conditions
3. Robust processing
Very stable and heavy metal housing, makes a really high-quality impression

First impression in live operation:
The Spring Tank has a nice warm basic sound that definitely sounds spring-hard and never digital. An optimal setting for my purpose was quickly found. In contrast to the more neutral plate reverb, the Spring Tank gives the guitar sound its own character. This is especially noticeable when you set the reverb very large and long, for example, for slide games, and the Spring Tank still sounds unobtrusively analog.
I am absolutely satisfied with the purchase, the sound convinces me and the device is very easy to use live.
