Compact, big sound 15.09.2021
Aways used a 12inch dj monitor, Normally a Sound Projects PM monitor that is really not good for your ears.... but have a huge amount of output, which i like, but after a few years of duty they get older and i needed to get some new ones. try'd a bunch of brands but never enough output, and after a dj set you could fry an egg on the build-in amplifier, not good.

After a while i came across the newer EON series on the Thomann app. Never liked the older EON series but the looks and specs off the new series got my attention. Normally i would go for the 12" but i just ordered the 10" version, the 610. Just because i loved the size!

Unboxing was nice, good protective box, and speaker perfect rapped in plastic with all documents presented. couldn't wait to connect this!

After connecting it was time to put some signal on it. starting with some downtempo tracks to test it a little bit. at this time impressive. (with DSP only at presets). Than a little more power but noticed that this speaker needs a little more EQ than the backside presets could provide. Downloaded the JBL app and fine-tuned a little for my needs. took me a few minutes to complet it and than sounded like never before! Did a few shows with the 610 and always used my one custom preset and never changed it again.

I would never in my life expected a output like this from a 10 inch monitor.
all together with the JBL app this combination is very an powerfull tool!

okay... time for the cons:
I can be really short with the cons, only thing i dont like is to use a separate machine like a ipad to do the DSP settings. it works perfect but would be better that you just can set and fine-tune the DSP on the back of the monitor. For me thats the only con....., but still love them ;)

Weight, sound, output, looks.. all is perfect. maybe i need an other one?

I use it alone to provide ambient sound in cocktails and other events. It has great clarity and is heard at good distances. Of course the bass is not there but being a 10" even makes the woofer more adapted to medium frequencies.
The 2 channel mixer is a great addition. I have connected musicians (like saxophone) and mixed between their sound and the backing track without the need for extra gear. Really great. If you push it too hard, the sound starts not feeling natural, but that only happens around >75% master volume. I also use it as a monitor for my main setup and it is great at that aswell.
Good build quality.
