I've tried many distortion and fuzz units over the years, but this has really impressed! It's a boutique product with a boutique price. The build quality is as good as if I soldered it myself. I don't know how some people obtain NOS electronic devices like the mil spec. transistors in this. If you were around when germanium transistors were the norm they were terrible with dreadful hiss levels! This is quiet, unbelievably smoothly controllable, with rich sparkling harmonics! It's not a machine like grind. The circuit uses 2 transistors, only 3 fixed resistors, 3 capacitors and 3 pots. Simple, effective and elegantly designed. Worth paying for the skill of the designer. Hendrix sounds possible, or anything less extreme.

Pedal came defective and apparently already used

The pedal which I got has unfortunately not as in the Sounddemos functions. There was absolutely no "fuzz" up to 9.5. The signal until then was quasi clean and just louder. In addition, the pedal had a really high basic noise.

Dubios was also that in my pedal an empty battery was installed, although according to the description neither battery nor power supply should be there. This suggests that my pedal was a B-stick, although the device was not marked accordingly.

I order these devices somewhere else.
