Very good

Arnaud123, 21.10.2013
The pedal is well built, a format very exploitable on a pedalboard or activated
By an external footswitch. It is a preamp, I plug it for my part in a rocktron power amp. The sound is good and for everything: vintage satu, sound, metal etc ... it sounds true, with body and precise (so not like almost all digital pedals). When you put volume, the frequencies remain musical and organic. For me, currently, it is the top in this price range, but attention: you must know what you want. No output for live, no effect loop, no volume boost (but the choice of 2 levels of saturation). I think the concept is perfectible even for that. The Randall G13 that I also, sounds less good (more transistor), but it is in counterpart super full and cheaper. For me these two products are much better than any digital pedals, for
Have a real sound.

Theta Preamp Pedal

50_1_50_Original, 28.10.2013
Service:
It takes some getting used to, as the mids are built as semi-parametric EQs. In the middle position, therefore, there are no interventions in the spectrum.
Bass and Treble work normally as shelf EQs.
It is also worth mentioning that there are no separate channels, but the preamp and distort are connected in series. Therefore also these incredible gain reserves> 150dB.
The rest is indicated by the unambiguous label.

Features:
Proper gain reserves through the serial configuration of the channels and with the different settings of the two circuits a lot of sound settings possible.
In the Distort channel, two separate gain pots were donated so that you can still switch crunch and solo distortion.
Very good: the ISP Decimator is on board and it is with correct tuning on Amp / Endstufe nothing more of the noise can be heard. This saves an additional pedal.

Sound:
Everything from ultra-clean to the point of distortion, which almost does not sound good.
Otherwise, the sound is modeled on the Theta Head by ISP, but unfortunately it is not for the German market. Therefore, a clear tendency to American amps / sounds.
I use it as a booster for my dual terror and it still gets a lot of good from the little toaster out as far as the sound diversity is concerned.

Processing:
Super stable: Metal housing and fixed potentiometers as well as robust foot switches.
So far nothing to complain about.

Total:
High price, but the acquisition has paid off, since you get two practically two pedals from the house ISP.
And if there should be no room for a 100W top in the car for a gig, you can easily pack the pedal and play via a power amp / PA.
