Increase your workflow

Spooks, 04.08.2017
My main reason for purchasing this unit was to increase my workflow, pushing a mouse around all day gets tiresome, using projects with upwards of 100 tracks starts to become hard to manage, so I decided to take the plunge and check out the Icon Qcon Pro. I'd checked out a bunch of Youtube videos and forum threads, relating to the above mentioned. The general consensus was positive, so I popped along to Thomann online and bit the bullet, 6 days later I received my unit. On first unpackaging, you will notice the top notch build quality. I was pleasantly surprised. I connected up the unit and selected my daw of choice, everything seemed to be doing what it was intended to do, with absolutely no fuss. I've been using the unit for about 8 months now and have nothing but good things to say about it, balancing up tracks is so much quicker, automating channels is no longer a chore, a couple of taps of the buttons and you're on your way. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about the unit, simply put it affords you a quicker more fluid way of working at a price point that won't kill your pocket. The only con and it's a positive con will be deciding to get another 8 or 16 channels.

Top gear

Daniel B. 502, 07.01.2015
I bought this equipment for my studio as i wanted a hands-on interface to work with my cubase system and protools when at my bros house. The great thing about this unit is that it is compatible with many of the top DAW's and there is no messing around to get functionality. all you do is choose your daw on the unit and everything is auto mapped straight away. The lights in this unit are good and so is the display. The motorised faders work very well and help when mixing or coming back to a previous mix. its also great for working on automation patterns. I have noticed one or two people moan about noise coming from the motorised faders but its not noticeable and for the price your getting a lot of bang for your buck! other systems i looked at started in the range of 1000 pound plus for the same functions so this is a bargain and a great bit of kit! a must have if you like to get a hands on feel rather then doing everything by mouse and keyboard.
