Great little unit
ShoggyPlay 03.09.2021
I previously owned the Presonus Fader Port V.2 and thought I needed more faders so i bought the platform M+ plus and even though it was okay I particularly didn't like the fact that I had to work in banks of 8 so I decided to try the Platform Nano and I have no regrets so far.

The build quality is excellent. It comes in a metal casing. The sides might be some kind of hard plastic but it's solidly built. I particularly like the rubber buttons which I find pleasingly comfortable to touch.

This unit is packed with functions. I can't go through them all here but believe me everything you need is on this unit. There's even a small built in display screen that shows some useful information and another screen that displays time code. Wow!!!

Starting with the single motorized fader that allows you to automate volume and other parameters. There's also the jog wheel which gives you scrub function, allows you to select tracks bypassing the banks, skip through your song to any position in seconds and also zoom in and out of the selected track. Let's not forget the rotary encoders that allow you to pan and change the settings of the selected parameter.

This unit is feature packed and gives you so much control over your plugins and effects that I can't cover them all here but I'm really impressed with it. Unless you must have 8 faders on your control surface I would definitely recommend this unit.

HW
Died while firmwar upgrading
Hugo Wahnsinn 09.01.2022
Quality of the buttons and faders are ok but not great. Integration with Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton, Reaper works.
Unfortunately my unit died during the firmware-upgrade process. The customer-service of Icon were not able to help, not able to answer if this issue is covered by warranty.
The issue is common and discussed in many forums online.
The unit is useless after failed upgrade process!

Ja
Very awkward implementation & incompatibility - I found it unusable
Just a customer 09.12.2021
I was initially excited to receive this controller, the packaging and general construction of the unit is great and it looks great on your desk.

However when using it with Cubase 11, I found that the banking doesn't work, the mute and solo buttons intermittently stop toggling, the faders sometimes lock preventing you from adjusting levels.

In cubase 10.5, banking works over 16 channels (two banks of 8), but no further.

For my purposes and in my DAW this just doesn't work in a way that I can use and it's too glitchy.

Also Icon's tech support and general documentation is, to put it politely, inadequate.

G
Grate controller
Guðlaugur 19.11.2019
I was thinking of getting the Platform M+ but instead I got the Nano and Platform X+. The Nano is an amazing controller and the visuals that you get make it a better choice than the M+ in my opinion. The 5 color layers give it so much extra functionality and it works also grate as a single controller because is can control the master or any channel you choose
