Not a good fit for electric guitars.
There are two sizes on this string winder that can be used for the tuners, however, these are too big, or too small.
Using this tool on my Ibanez caused some scratches on the tuner, so I would definitely not recommend this for an electric guitar. Not only did it scratch the tuner it is used on, but also the tuners next to it because it is too thick.
The tool itself is sturdy, so for an acoustic guitar or a guitar with more spacing between the tuners, this should do the trick.
+ Material OK
- Scratches on tuner and nearby tuners.

Be careful with the pin puller slot!
This winder does the basics of winding strings without too many issues and covers small and larger peg sizes.
My problem with this is the design of the pin puller slot at the bottom of the peg holder. It is round in shape and lacks sufficient bulk to pull tightly set pins. The result? The slot spreads out, the sides slip off the peg and you bang the top of the guitar! I've got a few little dents in the guitar top caused by this problem.
I took a small round file (about 3mm in diameter) and shaped a rounded V-shaped slot deeper into the peg holder - this gave it more bulk and gripped the pins tighter into the apex of the V-shape. That definitely did the trick so I put it down to poor design.
