These cymbals are decent for beginners and those who are 'bedroom players'. In comparison to some of the budget cymbals by major brands, these are actually better in terms of price AND you can't beat the Thomann guarantee.
This rating is based on them as cymbals. For beginners they are 5 stars but wouldn't hold up under proper use by a gigging band.
This Millenium HL3 Standard Cymbal Set came together with my MILLENIUM MX700 "STAGE 1" PRO drumset. Though due to it's price I wasn't hoping for a good sound quality of the set, I was pleasantly surprised of how they sound in real life. Of course the sound can't compete with hi-end brand cymbals, but it is pretty decent and not only as a "beginner" cymbal set. Crash has a nice pitch and good sustain and the ride sound great and is pretty loud too. Hi-hat gives away a nice crisp sound. Currently I use the set not only for practice but when performing as well and haven't heard of anyone complaining about the sound yet. All in all - decent sound and good quality makes this cymbal set a great value for money!
