High-quality sound at an unparalleled price

The Harley Benton SolidBass 115T is an unrivalled 1x15" bass cabinet with a 250W power rating, which provides the perfect accompaniment to the SolidBass transistor bass head series from Harley Benton and covers a broad frequency range of 60Hz to 20kHz courtesy of its integrated switchable tweeter. A specially matched 15" speaker lends the black Tolex-coated cab an extremely rounded, warm sound with a vintage edge, while the British-style covering on the front of the cab adds the final visual flourish. Round carry handles in recessed grips ensure that the SolidBass 115T, which tips the scales at just under 15kg, can be transported with ease.

Stable corners, well-rounded sound

Measuring just 600x380x480mm and boasting a 15mm-thick poplar plywood housing, the Harley Benton SolidBass 115T bass cabinet combines a compact design with a modest weight. A robust appearance is ensured courtesy of the chrome caps adorning the corners of the cabinet and the inclusion of four rubber feet, which ensure that a stable position is maintained – a crucial criterion if two such cabs are to be arranged in a stack. Incidentally, the 2x10" and 4x10" SolidBass speakers from Harley Benton are ideal for stacked combinations of this kind, as they feature the same width and depth measurements. Each of these speaker cabs has an impedance of 8 ohms. Despite the understated presence of the integrated tweeter, fans of vintage sounds in particular may wish to dispense with the extended frequency range. For this reason, the rear of the speaker is fitted with a toggle switch, which can be used to deactivate the tweeter.

A risk-free starting point

The old adage "the hardest part is starting" may have been true at one time, but courtesy of the SolidBass 115T, Harley Benton can now provide a stress-free entry into the world of 1x15" speaker cabinets, even for buyers on a small budget, which makes it particularly appealing to beginners but also an attractive option for ambitious trailblazers looking to specifically expand or redesign the sound of their rig. The reproduction of rounded sounds – often described using the term "warm" - is where the Harley Benton SolidBass 115T really flexes its muscle. Although less at home with deep sub-basses and aggressive highs, the SolidBass 115T delivers an extremely broad sound spectrum that provides the ideal basis for numerous musical styles.

About Harley Benton

Since 1998, the Harley Benton brand has been catering for the needs of numerous guitarists and bassists. In addition to an extensive range of stringed instruments, Thomann's house brand also offers a wide choice of amplifiers, speakers, effect pedals, and other accessories. In total, the range includes over 1,500 products. Built by established names in the industry, all Harley Benton products combine quality and reliability at attractive and affordable prices. The continuous expansion of the range ensures that Harley Benton always provides new, exciting, and innovative products that keep players perfectly in tune with the musical world, day after day.

Perfect for combining and expanding

1x15" bass speakers provide an optimum basis in two respects, offering a solid and often adequate solution for discreet practice sessions, modest rehearsals, and smaller gigs, while also proving ideal for pairing with other speakers – particularly when they are as affordable as the SolidBass 115T. The SolidBass 115T is easily added to an existing 4x10" speaker, although combinations comprising a 1x15" and 2x10" speaker are also highly popular. Incidentally, the front cover, which is attached with hook-and-loop fasteners, is also easily removed using the integrated loop, which not only benefits users seeking a more rugged appearance but is also a good option when miking the speaker, as it allows the microphone to be positioned with greater proximity and precision in front of the speaker cone.

d
decent light cabinets for rehearsal
dimenti 22.04.2021
bought two of these cabinets and paired them with Eden Terra Nova 501, this way I've got decent and cheap set for rehearsal and gigs. Weight is perfect, cabs handles are comfortable, cabs can be easily carried by one side handle up/downstairs (I live on the 5th floor without a lift).
Quality is decent, but should pass more time to comment more on this.
Sound.. hmm if you prefer slap techniques, modern sound, or heavey music - this is not your choice. Tone is not bright, prones to warm and deep, and like an old equipment I played when was young, perhaps someone will say a bit muddy and boomy, but anyway it fits good in blues, pop/pop-rock, reggae.
IMHO these cabs very similar to Ashdown Toneman 115 Deep I played once, but more budget and weight friendly (118 EUR vs 198 EUR, 15kg vs 27kg!! ).
I guess that more demanding users can replace loudspeaker to Eminence ones in future, so you'll get cheap donor boxes for this

overall: playing mostly reggae I did not have any high hopes on these boxes and even was gonna buy extra something 3-4 times expensive and branded, but now I think not to spent more money, it is enough for my needs, but recommend to have two cabs, to have much more volume and "fat".
Peace! ☮☮☮

r
Great stage cab!
robalferi 05.07.2022
I bought this cab to pair it with my Aguilar 350 head
Speakon connected
1x15, great sound and great definition

My idea was to get a 1x15 and a 2x10 later in time to use the full 350 from my amp
So far I never felt the need to purchase the 2x10

On little stages, the cab is powerful enough and I don't need to "kill" the amp head, on big stages I usually DI the head so I normally use a stage monitor in front of me and this cab on my back

Never had a problem so far!!
Really lightweight, I can load it on my car very easily

So... this is a 5-star-anywhere to me!

N
I can't fault this cab .
Neiler 18.11.2020
I wanted to buy a 115 cab that was lightweight and reasonably priced , I did consider the Ashdown and TC cabs too , but because the Harley Benton stuff has been clearly punching way above it's weight price wise , I took a chance on this . It is a really nice sounding cab , projects very well , focused and big sounding . The tweeter is switchable and though it is quite subtle I don't use it . it is perfectly finished and nothing about it feels cheap . Nice one !!

o
Perfect vintage tone
okee 20.10.2022
If you want modern, crisp, punchy and full range bass sound, this cab is not for you. This cab gives you round and warm 60's bass tone easily. Response is smooth. It's extremely cheap for these specs. Of course there are some quality issues. I suggest if you buy, quickly change inner cables. These are very thin. There's no insulation material in the cab. It's better you to put some matress or padding through the inner walls to prevent boominess and resonance. I highly recommend this cab to whoever wants smooth vintage tone.
