Capo for electric and steel acoustic guitars
With capos, you have to pay attention to which fingerboards they are suitable for. The Harley Benton HBCA-K is suitable for curved fingerboards as used on steel acoustic guitars and electric guitars. A better choice for classical guitars with nylon strings and flat fingerboards is the corresponding counterpart with a flat rubber pad, the HBCC-K (article no. 213038). Unlike older capo designs, this capo is easy and quick to use: It can be attached and removed with just one hand, while the built-in metal spring provides pressure on the strings. To protect the guitar's finish from scratches, both the long surface for the fingerboard and the short surface for the back of the neck are made of rubber.
Fits curved fingerboards
Most steel acoustic guitars and electric guitars have a slightly arched fingerboard. Anyone who then uses an ill-suited capo with a flat supporting surface will most likely have problems with rattling and buzzing of strings on one side of the fingerboard. To ensure that the capo applies equal pressure to all strings, the supporting surface of the capo must also be slightly curved. Such is the case with the Harley Benton HBCA-K, and that makes this capo well suited for steel-string acoustic guitars and electric guitars. By the way, the length of the supporting surface is wide enough for guitars with wide necks, such as 7-string electric guitars or 12-string steel-string guitars.

Ready in no time
One hand is all you need to attach and remove the capo: You press the levers together with a little pressure and can thus quickly bring the capo into position. The metal spring does the rest, providing sufficient pressure to push the strings down onto the fret even on 12-string guitars. A quick tip: If the guitar sounds out of tune after attaching the capo, it is usually due to a problem with the guitar's string action, often caused by a nut that is too high. Here, applying pressure to the strings has the same effect as bending them. If this is the case, it is a clear sign that the guitar needs a professional setup, which will then have a positive effect on the playing feel even without a capo.

The wood remains protected
The capo is made of sturdy metal. On top of that, all areas that touch the wooden surface of the guitar are made of rubber to protect the instrument from damage. The area that presses down on the fingerboard, the short area that is in contact with the back of the neck, and also the lateral anchor point for the neck are made of rubber. While the rubber is sufficiently hard not to wear off, it is also soft enough to provide ample space for a good grip.

Robust and affordable accessories
This capo is made of solid metal and has an curved supporting surface for the fingerboard. It is therefore particularly suitable for musicians with steel acoustic guitars, but can also be used perfectly on electric guitars. A capo is an indispensable accessory at the campfire or on stage if you need to change key in a hurry and can't (or just don't want to) work out the different chords. The design of this model is particularly advantageous when things have to happen quickly, such as when switching from one song to another. You don't have to do any complicated adjustment to suit the neck profile, but can quickly move the capo to the right place with one hand, where the metal spring then provides sufficient pressure. Nevertheless, this capo is affordable and should really be seen as a practical accessory and not a luxury.

For making music together
Even when they're not on stage, people still like to make music together - with friends, with the family, around the campfire, and in the comfort of their own homes. Quite often, the songbooks are brought out, a popular tune is chosen and... Someone fails to hit the right pitch while singing. The chords are right there on the page, but it would be too much trouble to rewrite them in a new key. The capo often does the trick on the third fret, and you can pick the usual chords - and the vocals fit. Because it's so easy to use with one hand, annoying repositioning is a thing of the past. If you don't need the capo at the moment, you can simply attach it to the headstock, which ensures that you don't misplace or forget it.
