This pretty drum, sounds like heaven. For its price, you can get nothing better. 7 pieces set, in that lovely walnut maple, with gretsch finishes and that caracteristic sound... Unmatchable!! Al the toms are well balanced, deep sound, with body and easy to tune. The snare sounds great, will need to remove the head for one better, and the bass drum is powerfull as hell, amazing set!!

Hi, die Rezessionen für das Gretsch Catalina halten sich dezent zurück, warum eigentlich? Keine Ahnung..... ich habe das 7er Set in WG im Januar 2017 erworben. Es war eine Bauchentscheidung, wie oft im Leben. Und der Bauch hatte Gott sei Dank recht. Das Catalina Marple ist in meinen Augen das Beste, was man für 900-1100€ bekommen kann. Schon das Auspacken war eine wahre Freude. Walnuss Hochglanz.....ein Träumchen! Selbst die serienmäßig gelieferten Felle waren mehr als nur zu gebrauchen. Hab sie natürlich mittlerweile getauscht gegen transparente von Remo, nachdem ich die Kessel innen mit Leinöl behandelt hatte. Ein Augenschmaus zum Ohrenschmaus! Ich habe das das 16“ Standtom so tief wie möglich gestimmt, das Reso ca eine Umdrehung mehr als fingerfest, Schlagfell nur fingerfest. Die anderen Reso genauso und die Schlagfelle nach oben hin, dass es klingt (in etwa) wie „tatüütataa „.... ihr wisst schon. Aber egal wie ihr es stimmt, es muss euch gefallen und zum Musikstil passen. Und da habt ihr alle Möglichkeiten. Zum Schluss noch nen kleinen Tipp. Ich habe das Set mit den schwarzen Plastik-Unterlegscheiben „ gepimmt“, gerade bei tiefer Stimmung ratsamsam, da die Schrauben dann eh schon Relativ wenig Widerstand zum „Festhalten“ haben und nun die Stimmung besser und länger halten, ohne jedesmal nachgezogen werden zu müssen. Viel Spaß, ich kann das Gretsch Catalina Marple nur sehr empfehlen! Keep on drumminˋ
