G&L Tribute Kiloton Irish Ale
Cyberpink, 15.03.2018
It's only a couple of days that this fine instrument has arrived, but I can say I am totally satisfied with it. Mine came with both truss rod and action already perfectly set up.
Sounds brilliant on all three pickup configurations - at least according to my own taste - and this transparent warm red body finish is just an eye candy.

Less is more - cool part with a lot of power!
Eckhard R., 30.10.2018
I wanted to add another passive bass that sounds crispier and more modern as a complement to my classic PJ-Preci. The product side of the kiloton, therefore, I had for some time "on resubmission". The decision was hard for me, especially because the price difference between the white-painted and the "Irish Ale" finish is still considerable (now somewhat reduced, möh). Since I wanted to have a bright fingerboard (better contrast in the dark), it has become this beautiful red-brown-transparent finish.

Basses with eg several, triple switchable pickups, active 3-band tone control and active-passive mode (the tone control on the amp in addition) overburden me regularly, so I wanted to have it simple and without bells and whistles. I got that here! The triple switch in conjunction with the height diaphragm, I just think great and completely sufficient. No fumbling and fewer options to inadvertently spoil the sound.
In terms of sound, I've come fully at my expense, the spectrum ranges from brilliant-sparkling over pithy-aggressive to powerful-warm? so I would describe the three switch positions times. The humbucker makes really good and is much louder than my Preci.
Also with processing and quality, there is nothing to moan, the bass looks beautiful and I would not know what there was to moan. Playability is great, the neck comparatively narrow and flat. I just enjoy playing this bass, that's the most important criterion for me!
The only thing I noticed negatively: The massive riders on the fat bridge are already adjusted quite low therefore. If I want to flatten the strings now, I have little room left.
