The Friedman Small Box Overdrive pedal gets you the same rich overdrive guitar tone than the all-tube amp which is based on. It also shares the same control set as the amplifier. It is really good at providing great Plexi tones but it can also provide really high gain rich tones. It is a great sounding all-round overdrive pedal.

Déjà possesseur de la BE-OD, je cherchais une pédale moins "high gain". J'avais 2 choix : la Dirty Shirley ou la Small Box.

J'ai préféré la Small Box car moins mid focused que la Dirty Shirley que je trouve plus cartonneuse.

Niveau gain et grain, c'est nickel avec la BE-OD :
- high gain pour la BE-OD, mid gain pour la Small Box
- grain JCM800 pour la BE-OD, Plexi poussé pour la Small Box

Super content de cette pédale !

E' il mio primo Overdrive... a parte la distorsione dell'ampli cr120H non posso fare molti paragoni. Della serie Friedman dovrebbe essere quello "meno aggressivo", lo metto fra virgolette perché a massimo gain e levetta abbassata diventa bello aggressivo. Ha mille sfumature ed è sempre definito, mai pastoso. Io sono contento a me piace.
