Stable, loud ... too bassy.
Frank646, 25.04.2013
I bought this box as an addition to my SuperSonic Head 100, because 4x12 was simply too bulky and scary (we play Coverrock). Actually, they do not fit together. I did not really want to understand that, because the closely related SuperSonic Twin Combo also has two V30 speakers.

The answer is that the loudspeakers are wired in one case parallel and in the other serial cable. One should therefore not turn up fully with a 100 watt head (... but who does this has either a hearing damage or wants to acquire urgently one)

Workmanship is impeccable, there is nothing to complain about. Thanks to the fold-out supports, you can tilt the box - very handy - just like the rollers.

The SS100 is of course a high-end guitar amplifier. However, the sound can be slightly shrill and scratchy and (especially in the twin channel), there are bass feedbacks, which I only get away using an equalizer pedal. This may be due to our pro space. Maybe the boxes have to be "shot".

The dynamics and loudness are absolutely present, it does not mash and one has a large frequency range, so that it can sound with the right settings almost already acoustically.

EDIT: the problems with bassresonances and to shrill heights could not be solved and are partly also at the closed box. Have both parts released again and exchanged for a Twin Reverb. The SS100 Cleancanal does not sound like a classic twin, not even in the approach. It is just the twin, the sound of which I have always dreamed, wonderful round, bell-like, iridescent heights without being shrill, dense basses without too matte or hum - with Treble on 3 and Mids on 6 (bass after room ) Simply goes up the sun.

Since the SS can not even dream of! A pity that the Twin does not have such a great Zerrkanal as the SuperSonic. But with a few pedals from Mad Professor you can make all sorts of sounds in a tempting quality.

It is just nothing about a real Twin!

Excellent sound and killer looks
Seifeddine, 27.12.2015
It is probably a mid-life crisis, I decided to buy the best speaker in terms of sound and looks because life is short. I settled for Fender Supersonic speakers. It is quite heavy but I don't mind, it's what contributes to the stability of the sound, what makes the sound strong without piercing your ears, sweet creamy mids. The silver knobs that are supposed to secure the Supersonic head are easily removable because of what, I have a Hiwatt head and it wouldn't fit with those silver knobs there. There is no choice for stereo or any crap like that, just one 8 ohms input.Honestly, there are more good sounding and well made speakers on earth than good guitarists, what made me choose the Fender at the end of the day is the looks. Nothing beats playing rock / indie music with a silver clothed grill under beautiful scene lights.
