David Gilmour Relic Strat
Corkdave1, 17.09.2017
At the price I was skeptical as to the overall quality etc of the guitar and or was it purely trading under the name of David Gilmour. After all as a guitar this model has a lot to live up to. On opening the case you realise this is not the run of the Custom Shop guitar and as the design is different and also the amount of accessories that come with it. The guitar itself is surprisingly light weight the acoustic tone is very good the action and set overall was good (although factory and the spring alignment is is to claws 1,3,5 unlike Gilmour's 2,3,4). When amped up that is when the guitar really comes to life, the pickup balance is excellent giving you an seamless range between bass and treble (neck to bridge pu's). The Seymour Duncan in the bridge allows you to get the attack that Gilmour gets and the quality build of the guitar gives fantastic sustain especially using any type of overdrive or fuzz. The mini switch allows you add the bridge pu to the neck and really takes out the middle. Overall it is worth the money and is an exceptional guitar.

A pure wonder

So what to say ... everything is in the title

The Seymour Duncan SSL-5 pickup trick is just fantastic, with an electronics that gives you even more possibilities by adding this pickup. Small knob, very discreet but that makes all the difference.
It is clear she relayed my US Strat modified to the rank of guitar rescue in concert.

Side finishing it is clear that we must love the "Relic", but we must recognize the talent of guitar masters of the Fender Custom Shop. Personally I'm a fan but I joined ebenist workshop on the artificial side of the touch at first only because by dint of playing with, the artificial aging of the handle becomes more and more credible.

Thank you the Custom Shop Fender for having realized such a guitar and thank you Thomann for allowing me to offer it
