Charming guitar

Counterpart 3PO, 03.01.2015
Since I eh a tuning project with her before me disturbed the slightly weak-breasted PU and the tin box little. The wood is well processed and lets hope. Lacquer, neck and frets are great.

Interestingly, the grain on the back is much nicer. There probably has been when he has clipped the board to the CNC milling machine. At the back you almost can not see that there are three strips of wood - a bit stupid, or charming.

The e-compartment is not quite parallel to the bridge - also charming. I like it anyway because it is not perfect. I also have a 50s Baja Tele - which came like from the egg.

This will soon go towards 'heavy' with SD PUs, Kluson brass bridge and locking tuners ...

By the way: inside there is zero shielding, only saw chips !!! A roll of 'Tesa Alu self-adhesive' must also be stuck in the e-compartment and the PU milling as well as on the back of the pickguard, so that the noise decreases.
Great surgery at the open heart ....

What more do you want

Stefan5756, 21.02.2015
I decided after a long time back and forth for the Baja Tele. My actually favored G & L sounded somehow muffig. Is just taste. The telephoto manufactured in Mexico is perfectly processed. The tuners are very tune-resistant, the strings had to be optimized easily. The pickups are hell. Typical Fender Tele but with proper spectrum. Just perfect. The neck is as custom-made in the hand and the S1 circuit toppt the whole thing still - very clear purchase recommendation.

An instrument of price rv

Grmi, 01.04.2016
Model 60 with the body in alder, the rosewood fingerboard, etc.

I begin with my conclusion since everything is said in or almost.
Originally, I had mainly taken this Baja to work and delay the wear of the frets of my other guitars costing much more expensive than this one. Finally I find this guitar so endearing that the idea to use this contrasts me squarely. It's fun to watch, play and hear, everything I like about this guitar, its handle, its weight, its sounds, the quality of the microphones, its versatility, etc ... etc ... and of course its price . So I am filled with this purchase, I hope it will age well and I will keep it long.

Received yesterday, it is my first guitar bought by internet and I was afraid of a little transport but the cardboard arrived nickel. The packaging is very well done and the guitar perfectly protected.
Unpacking, it is beautiful !!!. The rather dark 3 tone varnish reveals the veins of the wood giving it a vintage look. I just love it!!! I hesitated a while with other finishes and I really do not regret this choice.
A little lighter than my american vintage '52 and I find his profile in C more ergonomic. I also prefer this radius to 9.5
Delivered completely out of tune, a good opportunity to test the mechanics. I find them rather correct.
The wood that composes this guitar seems to me a little white. But I have in my hand a very beautiful instrument whose construction is very neat and perfectly finished. No doubt possible above.

Its sound palette is pleasant and varied. The dynamics and the rendering of the microphones is excellent. She is very versatile, I feel like I have both my stratum and my 52 in this Baja. The only trump remaining possibly to my stratum is its vibrato. The possibilities via the mic selector combined with its tone potentiometer is no stranger to the thing.

The stuff that's a little bit annoying:
The intonation was truly unregulated. Problem solved after a few turns of screwdriver.
More embarrassing, the chord of si gave me a sound of zither whatever the square played. This is due to the passage of the rope on the bridge that grazes (passes over) a set screw. Problem almost disappeared after the intonation adjustment. The problem disappears completely by moving the rope slightly to the side.
A small problem of "buz" that I notice especially with an overdrive and position microphones in series. This disappears or fades depending on the position of the selector or when I touch the potentiometers or the jack on the guitar. Maybe a mass and / or insulation problem to correct.

This is not an emergency, but a short tour of a luthier can only be beneficial to this instrument. I am, moreover, curious to have his opinion.
