Ist n Versuch wert..

Muss sagen, ich hatte mich echt auf die V gefreut. Die Gitarre ist wie mittlerweile von Epiphone gewöhnt, wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet.
DIe Fishmans... naja... ich sehe nicht den Vorteil dieser Pickups. Meine sämtlichen fünf anderen Gitarren kommen gut passiv aus und haben mit entsprechender Verdrahtung ebenso Parallal oder Splitsounds drauf. Das nochn Ticken organischer. Aber Pickups sind wie immer ja erstens Voodoo und zweitens persönlicher Geschmack. Ich brauch keine Batterie in meinen Brettern.
Aber der Grund warum ich sie retournieren musste, ist ein gänzlich anderer:
Anders als auf den Produktbildern, kommt die Prophecy V mit einem Gurtpin auf der "Schulter und NICHT auf der Rückseite - da wo er hingehört.
Das Problem? Egal wie du sie umhängen hast, sie "reibt" recht bald den Gurt an deinem Hals - es sei denn du hast n Rolli oder Polo an aber das dürfte nicht die primäre Kleidung sein mit der man diese Art von Instrument spielt. Ich hab es ausprobiert: würde man den Gurt von hinten befestigen erschlägt man damit gleich 2 Probleme:
1) die Kopflastigkeit wird besser
2) da reibt nix mehr am Hals auf.

Vielleicht hab ich auch n Stiernacken aber ich kann die Hübsche einfach nicht im Stehen so spielen und sehe nicht ein, wegen schlechtem Produktdesign ein Loch in den Body zu bohren.

Amazing guitar, the shipment damaged it though. so back it goes

the pickups sound amazing, and goes with my jvm410 very well, it wasn't set up though, but I didn't expect that. then I noticed a crackle were the neck joins the body. it went all around the from the binding to the back of the neck to the other side of the binding, then i looked at the package and it was pretty damaged on one side. so it has been sent back to get a new one.

-i love binding all around the guitar
-locking tuners
the bads
-the binding was a bit rough on one the sides on the neck, almost greenish/yellowish
-wasnt setup
-bad design flaw on epiphones, they paint over the neck joint, so over time it will eventually crackle at the neck joint
the features for 900 euro are great: amazing inlays, binding, tiger stripes etc.

overall pretty good bang for the buck, maybe i was just unlucky with the first one, i hope the second one doesn't have any damage

Bon look et bon son

Je cherchais une guitare pour jouer du rock et du metal, avec un bon look, elle convient très bien. Assez polyvalente. Bon le manche n'est pas aussi rapide que les guitares de type metal classique souvent plat et qui permet un bon confort de jeu. Celui-ci semble plus long, du coup le jeu un peu plus rude surtout sur les accords en1ère position, à moins d'un reglage avec la sangle?.. on s'y fera... J'apprécie toujours les décos de type nacre sur la touche chez Epiphone.
Une valeur sure.
