Nice idea but I am not sure how useful it is

It is supposed to be used with a USB power bank to become a mobile power supply. Which actually works fine!
You can also use it to split one output port of your standard power supply into two isolated outputs.

Pros:
- small, lightweight and portable
- get any input from 5 to 18V and transforms into 2x 9V output

Cons:
- The "filtered" output does not seems to reduce any noise compared to a "non filtered", non-isolated PS
- The max output is not 800 mA divided by both outputs, but 400mA in each output so keep this in mind you cannot connect a 450 mA pedal it will not get power enough.
- The hassle of connecting one wire between the power bank and the Engl Powertap might not pay off. I have a Rockboard powerbank and it is direct and you get way more power 2x 1000mA you can power your board directly (assuming you do not have 5 Strymon pedals on it :)

Concluding
I believe getting a Rockboard or Haley Benton power bank is a better option for mobility, but if you only need it to power 1-4 low power pedals it works great.

Wollte ja erst garnicht glauben was hier versprochen wird: ein Gerät welches 5V USB wie auch Gitarrennetzteile bis 18V auf 2x 9V umwandelt.

misstrauisch wie ich bin musste ich das gleich Testen:
per mitgeliefertem USB-Kabel an meine billige NoName-Powerbank angeschlossen, mit dem Multimeter nachgemessen, 2x 9V Output
...USB-Kabel abgehängt und an ein 9V Boss-Netzteil, ein 12V AMT-Netzteil sowie an einen 18V-Output von meinem Truetone CS12 Power Brick angeschlossen, immer mit dem Multimeter nachgemessen, immer 2x 9V Output am Engl Powertap.

Habe dann natürlich auch Pedals angeschlossen, alles funktioniert tadellos, hatte bisher auch keine auffälligen Brummgeräusche o.ä, alles prima.

Ich bin mir zwar nicht sicher welch geniales Hexenwerk im Engl Powertap steckt um das zu ermöglichen aber davon werde ich wohl demnächst noch mehrere kaufen.
Es ist erstens praktisch um unterwegs (oder zuhause) mit der Powerbank Pedals zu versorgen ohne eine Steckdose suchen zu müssen.
Zweitens ist das Teil das ultimative Helferlein zur Stromversorgung am Pedalboard, entweder als Spannungswandler um überflüssige 18V-Outputs auf 9V runter zu regeln oder einfach als Verteiler um aus einem 9V-Stecker zwei zu machen.

Ich bin überzeugt und spreche meine wärmste Empfehlung aus!

Alimentador de pedales ideal para tenerlo sobre la mesa conectado a cualquier USB. Sólo debes tener en cuenta el consumo de tus pedales (sobre todo si son digitales) y la cantidad de energía (vatios y amperiaje) suficiente que tenga el USB. Si son analógicos no vas a tener problema. Muy silencioso!!

Ottimo prodotto, semplice ed economico per aver a portata di mano un alimentatore per pedali. Avere 2 uscite consente una maggiore versatilità. Ottimo, straconsigliato!
