Fits perfectly to an EMG MusicMan pickup, as I think. So sound sound the setup MMTW-> BTS very well. Even without EQ, the MMTW is already fine and delivers a very good modern bass sound and with EQ you can raise the wumms with the bass control properly. The principle of the Treble regulator I also very successful. Here you can select the cut-off frequency of the filter in 4 modes. What is good is the possibility not only to select altitudes at either 5kHz or 7kHz but also times lower by 2kHz and this gives not only a more brilliant sound, but because the high mids are also affected, a more powerful sound.

In combination with an EMG (since all active have a closed housing) has the advantage, as I think that the stop sounds are not too sharp, but one sounds brighter and presenter. Not that this kind of bass sound would be appropriate for any situation, but the thing is that if you want to install such an electronics in your ax, then it is more flexible. And this works with the BTS for the possibilities of a 2 band EQs very well.

Basses do not mute (of course also depending on the used pickup) and the treble generally sound soft and musical.

Conclusion: Good upgrade, in my opinion but really tailored to EMG products.

EMG BTS 2 Band EQ with EMG 35DC-X

In order to improve my Yamaha bass sound "a little bit", I have both pickups and the whole electronics rausgefmissen.

I installed an EMG 35DC-X pickup in bridge position and this BTS 2 band EQ. The installation was quite simple, as I rebuilt everything and thanks to the plug connections. I just had to solder the saddle bushes. This is also well described in the slightly understandable instructions.
For this I have a second battery installed in series and now drive with 18V.

After connecting, then the realization: "HAMMER". I play a lot of metal and this combination is really like it.
