Much better experience than the mk1
Klontart, 26.10.2018
Compared to the older mk1 version (that I also owned) a number of points immediately showed:

1. The mk2 looks and feels much, much better. There?s more space on the panel, it?s less cluttered, it? easier to find your way around the buttons, the buttons look and feel better.

2. The screen is actually readable. Though still small and low-res, the screen can be read without any effort now, which is a big plus since the synth totally depends on it. Much more relaxed experience.

3. The sound of the synth engine has clearly been improved. Bass is tighter and the highs are more hifi, giving the mk2 a more modern touch, which I prefer over the slightly muddy mk1. You can still go gritty and vintage though.

Overall a great improvement over the mk1. Compared to other synths there?s lots of menu diving, the typical Elektron way. The feature set is unbeatable though.

good elektron
ojloc, 02.09.2019
decent made elektron - decent sounding (great SUBs!) but lacks a bit of top end to my ears - overall it is a great analog sound, different from so many other synths, gritty, noisy, squeaky, but can also be very clean (even on chords or especially on chords - when you combine voices).
SUB's are total killer. It lacks of some features like why not make MIDI channels? - this would make EZ to control both modular and some midi-hardware for someone having only analog A4 (or som1 with minimalist-mind setup)
