Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man

Deluxe Memory Man

One of the most popular analog delays, for AD's it has an unusually long maximum delay time of 550 milliseconds. If the modulation of the integrated chorus/vibrato effect is set, the sound comes close to the legendary old tape echos. But even more experimental floating sounds of more intense modulation are one no problem for the Memory Man. Ideal for fans of classic delay sounds.

Electro Harmonix Stiil the Quirkiest Kid on the Block!

I love EH pedals there is something about them, some Mojo they have that help them to stand out in the crowd.
They are not the Quietest or Best Built Pedals but they just add something Fantastic to your sound.
The external power supply is a pain but it worth it for the Majestic Delay,Chorus and Vibrato Sounds inside this box.
I have read that the original Bucket Brigade IC Chips are running out so it may be a good time to take the plunge.
I doubt if you will be sorry.
I have compared this pedal to the newer model Memory Man with longer delay and Memory Boy's etc But I think this Pedal sounds better than either of those for what it's worth.

My New Favourite Delay!
Anonymous 27.07.2016
This delay is perfect for a range of uses, from short slap back to long ethereal repeats that are awesome for solos.

My favourite thing about the DMM is the ability to dial in how much modulation you want into the repeats, with this I'm able get a nice faux tape warble which sounds beautiful and organic.

The modulation mixed with a long delay just creates this lush atmosphere that is so inspiring. I highly recommend this pedal, if you are a fan of delays you owe it to yourself to try this one!

memory man review

This has become one of my favorite effects and has lasted on my pedalboard when other pedals come and go. I have a digital delay and some multieffect delays but this blows them all away for sound quality. Its simple to nail the U2 sound, but the controls also give a very wide range of sounds from subtle slapback to wild self-oscillations. Any time put into tweaking the controls pays off with inspiring sounds - its a good creative tool and has a much more unpredictable nature that the digital delays, plenty of nice surprises in this box. The new version has a much smaller (and more solid) size so it fits nicely under your feet

Loving it

Good clean analog fun from EHX. It's a keeper, sound is amazing, what can you say?! The only downside is that the damn pedal needs 24V to make your world echo like never before. And a tempo-tap button could have been good. But it really doesn't matter. It's a winner either way. BUY, BUY, BUY :)
