Fantastic pedal, though one annoying problem
Well, I've used the pedal solidly now for a number of hours and it offers a great variety of really wonderful reverb effects. I particularly find myself using the hall mode as my go to, standard setting. There are five traditional reverb sounds, all offer a slightly different take on a reverb, some sounding like a smaller space and some sounding nice and open, for example the Hall setting gives a really nice open sound with a good sense of space. The reverse reverb is also cool, though it would be quite hard to find a use for, the flerb setting offers flanger and reverb together and I use it to create some really nice alternative sounds. Another bonus is the echo feature, and offers up to 2 seconds of digital delay, great if you want to thicken up your sound with a quick slap-back. Overall the amount of control you have with the 6 dials is far better than any other pedals in this price range.

The stereo output works beautifully with two amps, creating a huge sound. I find that the presets are also really handy, if you dial in a setting you love, you can save it and recall it in a few seconds, and you get to make a preset on every setting.

As usual build quality is superb, but I have one issue: there is no way to turn off the device with the power plugged in, which isn't ideal if your pedals constantly have a power supply attached... Only a slight issue though, losing a star on function, it would be nice to be able to turn the whole thing off when you're done by just pushing some buttons rather than unplugging it every time.

In conclusion, this pedal is truly excellent, offering pretty much all my reverb needs, loads of versatility in modes and plenty of useful control over parameters, worth every penny.

Organic feeling. Massive soundscaping and a lot of possibilities.
Hey fellow musicians,

This review will be about the Cathedral, a wonderful reverb pedal with character and a lot of soundscaping possibilities.

To begin with, my overall experience using the Cathedral is really great. I gives me everything I could imagine from a versatile reverb pedal such as this.

The sound is really nice! You can dial in everything you hear in your head playing with the knobs or just mess around with them and stumble upon usable reverbs. I am totally in peace with the sound quality.

A good amount of time, mix and tone knobs plus a tap tempo and a freeze function is everything I can imagine from a good pedal as this.
It has the good balance between too much possibilites of sound creation and an easy, on the fly usage.

Beautiful and solid. Though I had a slight scratch on the painting, which doesn't bother me now, I can only say that its well build.

Overall, my decision to buy the Cathedral instead of the TC Electronic Hall of Fame was good, because the Cathedral has more character and more possibilities. In a comparison between these two reverb pedals, I can say the the Cathedral sound a bit more organic and nicer. The HOF sounds a slightly bit too artificial to me, or "plastic" if you'd like to call it that way.

Try out the Cathedral; it's great and beautiful.

Enjoy music.
