When You Need It, You Need It

Using this Ebtech Hum Eliminator in my guitar rack rig; I typically use a four amp system W/D/W where the the "Dry" is actually two amps in dual mono. Seems there is always one amp buzzing away (which is, of course, to be expected); I use powered 1x12 cabs for my wets. I have a couple Tech 21 Power Engine 60 and a Fender Princeton '65. The Ebtech didn't solve any issues with my PE60 cabs; but my Princeton has been buzzing for years. Yesterday one of the PE60s went haywire so I swapped for the Princeton and now with the Ebtech Hum Eliminator and a Klotz La Grange cable, the Princeton is running much quieter :-) The Ebtech is nice that it is passive; sockets are into the top which I don't know if I like...It is a sturdy box...and the the XLR to 1/4" jack can be very helpful.

It did not work in my case. The hum / noise still was audible like before connected. But does not mean that will not work with another setup. I all depends of the electricity circuit at your studio.
