Curious to test an Airline guitar, I set my sights on the Classic 6. I left without a priori and I was very pleasantly surprised:

Unpacking: After order, as usual, I quickly received the package. The guitar arrives, basic, with its rigid box, which is surprising for a guitar of this price range. At the look, she is really pretty. Only the head makes a little kid but good pass. The lutherie seems correct but the finishes at the base of the neck leaves a little to be desired. The pick-guard plastic is really cheap and the micro switch has arrived me badly fixed: nothing irreparable or irreplaceable. Overall, the Classic 6 overall remains a beautiful guitar with mouth (= general shape, fittings golden more than passable) and a little trick roots in addition that makes it shine among other shovels.

Test 1: Empty the guitar makes the steel resonate the strings and honestly it sounds a little weak to play and sing for example. The term "semi-acoustic" is therefore slightly exaggerated. On the other hand, if you just want to practice the instrument, there are no worries.
Plugged into an Orange Rocker30: In a clear channel, the Classic responds very well to jazzy expectations and the tone knob does wonders to ensure mobility in intensities. In arpeggios, it is rather precise but not sharp, the microphones remains "retros". Same as the chords, modern guitar fans will be baffled by the lack of power and incisive sonority, although the Classic 6 does the job very well.

Test 2: Overdrive Channel Passage on the Rocker 30 - With a slight crunch, the little Eastwood is doing oddly well. The old blues patterns pass creams and you feel the soul of the guitar. In the neck position, the sound is round and you can ensure a nice rhythm. In easel position, the sound is clear, less crunchy, and especially more "country" => the origins stand out. Intermediate, the search for the sound is possible and one reaches a certain versatility which remains rather reduced in spite of everything. It is not a guitar to do everything.
In crunch honest (gain: 5) - There is the feet. I understand where my money went and I wonder how big brands do to survive such small surprise. The sound is really good, the dynamics quite impressive for humbuckers (= ew retro) series, and the tone potentiometer always allows to nuance his game quite effectively.
In high crunch (gain: 8,5) - From the first plated chord I understood that this guitar would not go back to thomann. If you want rock n 'roll, High energy rock n' roll, heavy vintage, this guitar is really a golden deal. She will not risk extreme styles but will be able to tap into the rock that stain well. This is not surprising.

Balance: A VERY good guitar for this price with violin rather correct, a clean sound really cool and a soul really rock n 'roll in the crunch. I would do this choice with my eyes closed.
