great product for fingerpickers!
duke22355 31.07.2020
- The pick is very thick (like a 1.5 mm pick)
- The end of the pick that touches the strings is quite long. It takes time to adjust for players who fingerpick with their bare fingers (like me).
- Strumming is hard as the pick is very thick.
- The size is quite small and tightly fits the thumb (at least for me, average Indian adult). It is a expands a little, so it's not much of a problem.

I bought this product as I love fingerstyle and am still trying to get used to it...

Classic thumb pick

The only one you need if you wish to try one. This one was a bit stiff for my thumb but with minor heating I was able to mold one that fits me perfectly.

I actually bought this, the large Dunlop and a package with finger picks as well. None of them fit and everyone had something in them that I did not really like. So I'd argue that the changes that there's a one that fits perfectly are pretty slim. But with little effort anyone can customise something for themselves that works. For example didn't really like the bulky sharp tip of the pick that sticks out too much for me when wearing. So showed some sandpaper to the tip and now I just love it. So all in all, I wouldn't think that there's one that fits, but more that these are template that you make something of your own out from.

P
Was an interesting try

As a bass player, I'm used to playing with my thumb and thought of using the thumb pick on a guitar.

The pick was a little but too stiff for my liking and for what I was going to use it for, but the quality is there and they are built to last. The plastic is very strudy and very durable.

It would be great if they had different thicknesses like with the traditional picks. It was fun try and would definitely recommend them. Concerning the sizes to look for, if you have average sized hands, I would suggest going for the large one as I don't have big hands but the medium one was a tight fit and had to stretch it out in order for it to fit comfortably. That's also how I found out how durable they are!

This is what I use.

I like a somewhat thicker heavier thumb pick and this one works for me. I find it hard to be accurate with thin picks.
