Its a great wah pedal for doing the basics. Its difficult to get a inbetween of off and full wah. Its just the pedal and no futher knobs to adjust or change your sound. Great as a starter wah pedal but would recommend a more advanced version for more experienced trying to find a new sound. Overall i am happy with the outcome of the purchase.
Note: They do lube the gears inside the pedal which makes it really lose to adjust, dont worry about what is happening.
I find with this it very quickly goes from nothing to completely open; very small foot movements are needed to acheive slow wah effects. Im not too experienced with wahs so figured the Cry Baby was a safe bet. Also make sure you use it with a power supply as it drains batteries in a short space of time, you do lose some of the natural guitar tone having this in the chain too. Overall not bad.
GCB95 is exactly what you would expect. Very good tone in a small and durable box. After 4 years of almost everyday use it does not show any signs of wear.
I mostly played it using Stratocaster, Telecaster and Les Paul Guitars through a 74' Fender Twin Reverb and a Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9. It has shown a nice frequency spectre and the right amount of aggresiveness for rock music as well as gentleness for softer songs.
It had only one downside: it came with a non-working power socket, which had to be replaced.
All in all: good buy, if you like a classic wah sound, but would not suffice if you want versatility, since it does not provide any EQ or other controls.
Pedal is great for getting all sorts of tones, retro and modern. It's a lot of fun to have subtle delay or tape echo effects on after it. Has a large sweep. Also good to have on in one position as a tone control, to help achieve Hendrix tones.
This is the world famous classic wah pedal with great tone you heard at least once in your lifetime on some records you listened to. It's very quality build, pretty heavy, with mixture of metal (majority) and some plastic parts, and i believe it's durable. Runs on one 9V battery if you don't have power adapter. Very easy to use, just plug it and play. Sound is a matter of personal preferences, but as I said, classic, nothing fancy, no extra knobs, just simple wah, and for that simplicity I give it a five stars. Use your imagination and experiment with. But I dont' like it not being a true bypass though. Luckily you can change switch fairly easy, if you have some experiences with soldering. Recommended wah.
