Something to Tr ...

17.09.2016
I have been playing very deeply for a very long time (A). For a long time, I have therefore thought about adding a baritone guitar. Two models caught my eye: one of them was the Duesenberg D6. Frankly I was skeptical, because the paint on the photos did not look so dolle and the neck is screwed. Since I had zero experience with baritone guitars, I wanted to try the D6. But in the next - surrounding - shops, the D6 unfortunately did not. I then tried a different baritone guitar in a store: Disillusion, because I was the waistband too big. Eternal consideration, but since I had good experiences with Thomann, I've got through and I ordered the Duesenberg D6 simply.

The D6 came then very fast and was well packed. Then only the appropriate belt drum and ready. The first feeling I would describe with: silky. Yes, it is true that the waistband is slightly larger, but the neck is so comfortable that I got used to it very quickly. The thick sides do not disturb, on the contrary. The D6 I feel synonymous with regard to topology as not problematic. Everything goes very well from the hand. The mechanics make a very good impression. So purely from playing the guitar is wonderful! From the sound there is nothing to complain about.

Optically: I had because of the painting so my concerns. But when the guitar is first unpacked, it makes something. Depending on how the light falls, the corpus is slightly different. But always looks great. And the dashboard has a light green tone (in the direction of phosphorus green, the photos are right ;-)), which is VERY good. Super also the mechanisms, the buttons etc. - and of course the nozzle-logo. Yes, somehow it is very, very chic and noble. The D6 makes purely optically a really valuable impression.

The only point I need to get used to on the D6 is the switching from Singelcoil to Humbucker: This is organized by a rotary knob - a whole turn on the one side = SingleCoil, starting position humbucker and from there on the next half-turn up To the (other) end is the tone setting. I do not know if that could not have been solved differently. But this is just a luxury jam.

Not technically, but the overall picture is annoying, that the Duesenberg case only as a custom (no Thomann Money-Back etc.) and it must be ordered separately. Would not it be possible to sell the same with the D6? Something for transport needs man yes. And since it is a baritone guitar, not every case can be used. In the future it would be nice in any case, if the D6 together with the case.

CONCLUSION
Overall, I can recommend the D6 in any case. She plays great, looks good. No, she was not a fault. If you are looking for a baritone electric guitar, want to hold a valuable guitar in your hands and do not want to be used in the very lower price segment, you should take a look at the D6. I also recommend the original case by Duesenberg to safely transport or move the guitar - the case can be ordered without problems via Thomann (and - in comparison to the Thomann ABS case for my Paula - slim).

PS: The D6 is of course only safe with a D6-belt. That completes the whole thing so correctly. ;-)

Different perspective

30.01.2017
I fell in love with this guitar.
I'm not the most professional player, but this instrument is in the hands of an engineer's completely different challenges.
It is great to see what kind of sharp and fat sound this planer delivers.
No matter in which locations or chains you play them ... The result is almost always unique.
The electronics works very precisely and lets you hear from hardly audible to completely distorted everything.
It is not for everyday tastes, but if you are looking for an alternative alternative, you will definitely find a solution!
Heavy, thick, silky, especially ... just the buzz for a unique sound!
