24 dB Low Pass 1 (VCF1)

Module A-120 is a voltage-controlled 24 dB low-pass filter, which filters out the high frequency components from a sound spectrum while allowing the low frequencies to pass unhindered. The cut-off frequency (corner frequency) determines the point at which this effect occurs. They can be set or modulated both manually and via control voltages (filter modulation, with an LFO for example). The VCF1 is configured as a "transistor cascade" with an edge slope of -24 dB / octave, which is also used in various Moog synthesizers, This results in the typical, "legendary" Moog sound. The resonance (emphasis) can be adjusted at the VCF 1 to the point of self-oscillation. In this case, the filter operates as a sinusoidal oscillator.

I was a little dissapointed
Kamil Z. 12.05.2016
They sell it as a Moog filter but they should mention it's actually more a Sub Phatty distorted Filter. Nothing compared to a Minimoog, Prodigy or even Rogue. I talked to a very nice person in Doepfer and he informed me these are changed to sound as such as customers asked for it which i get everyone is craving distortion now for some reason, but they should update their website therefore to let customers know.
I might keep it as some sounds comes out nice and meaty but othervise will not suit me for the purpose i bout it for (aka a Moog Filter) will need to find a replacement.

A120 Eine gute Investition.
Joan.Jamaivue 23.12.2020
Alles in Allem: Eine gute Investition.

Lo sé: el libro de gustos está lleno... Tengo filtros de varios tipos y marcas (también un Wasp y un Xtreme) pero este es mi favorito.
