Let's begin with: processing, operation, documentation so far very well.

Compared to my very much appreciated arturia beatstep (also first-class processed), the twister is clearly ahead (but also cost double).
Because I can control many times so many parameters (4 virtual pages in the MIDI controller) and also have 4 parallel instead of a track in the sequencer. In the Beatstep, you can shorten the length of the sequence as you like, and you know what is going on over bars and scales as the target function is more like that of an arpeggiator. For this, the twister transforms my tractor remix deck into a beat machine. He shows me the set values ??by LED, while I was at the beatstep for the screen must see. However, the synonymous with the disadvantage of everything with the midi fighter, always only on a scale from 1 (or 0) to 11 must have space, which is too little for the 16 samples in a slot of a remix deck. Honestly - if everything else is designed for 16, then the price of the 5 * 16 white LEDs are still in it, right? The last difference between the two is: that midifighter hangs only on a USB cable, while the beatstep (clear arturia are a synth comapany) also cv in and out. For that I have not managed to synchronize the beatstep with tractor, but what should be amchbar.

For the remix deck control I've bought it and miraculous wonder, a F1 can still be operated in parallel (on the same remix deck).
Some higher functions like pattern copy seem also to be there and the best feature is without question how easy one reinspringt in each track easy and the pattern quickly with both thumb changes and fast again from the beat pattern to jump back to mixer level get. This jumping back is somewhat unwieldy because the buttons are there where you hold the part (on the side) - slight contortions unavoidable, but clear it is also no thing to hold the part with only one hand and then with the other the button on the side To press. Only beqemer would be without the. What I would also like to be able to run the rhythms over several pages because 16 steps, albeit general standard, is too little for my favorite rhythms.

Next (smaller?) Disadvantage the software, documentation and mappings one must load itself

How good the stage life can endure I can not say after 2 weeks of course. After all, there are three-button buttons on which one constantly pounds. (Both in one to have allowed naturally nice control).

Overall quite mature part. In the future hopefully still small LED-font display to add, because only one color per button in sometimes too little to remember what the button actually does, but usually one controls yes anyway what on the screen (only what exactly- because most There in reactor is not arranged 4 * 4).

But I recognize: this device has brought the state of technology a tipple step forward and on the price / performance level there is hardly anything better. What else would I recommend, if you do not all functions absolutely necessary and it therefore a bit more favorable also.

ADDITION: had exchange with djtechtools and my 3 demands they want to pick up, even a 32/64 step sequener.
