Versatile but distinctive
ArmandsV, 11.07.2017
In a nutshell : Great reverb with a lot of options and overall lively, dynamic character.

The build is great, it feels like a tank, has some weight to it. It looks great and original. Turning knobs feels perfectly smooth.

Main controls goes for
- Level
- Liveliness (Brightness)
- Decay
It's simple and gives you all the control to shape your reverberation the way you want it without getting confused. That's coming from someone who tends to get caught up in tweaking.

Probably the best thing about this reverb is all the different reverb modes, and I'm glad to say I like all of them. There's everything for the crazy FX experimenter and conservative clean tone connoisseur alike.
Room - Warm and solid.
Plate - Airy and dynamic.
Reverse - yep.
Modulated - I love this, it gives you an effect of reverb with some chorus and flanger goodiness to it.
Halo - Heavenly synth/post/atmosphere sauce.
Hall - Big, unmistakable REVERB.
Spring - surf rock, quite dynamic, dial it right, and it sounds like you're dropping small stones in the water.

I like the tails option too.

I'd recommend this reverb, now if you really don't like digital pedals, you might want to pass on this one.

Gorgeous-sounding reverb at a reasonable price
Ray42, 26.09.2017
I play mostly clean and always like to have at least a trace of reverb present. This pedal suits me perfectly, whether I want a subtle spring in the background or an immense sounding hall reverb.

The reverse and halo modes are beautiful, and while I don't have the opportunity to use them all that often, it's easy to see why anyone interested in more experimental ambient tones would be interested in this pedal.

It's solidly built and surprisingly heavy. The only slight drawback I've noticed is that, while the artwork is excellent, it does obscure the writing around the knobs somewhat. This might become an issue in low light, but shouldn't be much of a problem to users once they become more familiar with the layout of the settings.

I've spent hours experimenting with the various modes to find new sounds to interest me. I'm no expert and cannot claim to have had experience with a wide range of reverbs, but the Polara gets me the sounds that I want. Highly recommended.
