Diezel Herbert - More than just a Metalamp :)
Doogie, 16.12.2009
I have the Herbert now 3 years, it is the first amp, which I am after even a long time nothing to complain about.

Are actually read everywhere, 3 channels, switchable midcut, 2 mastervolumes, par.Loop, ser.Loop, switchable loop, midifigig. A huge advantage for me is the (midi) switchable, so effects can be "looped" and, if necessary, via Midi the whole effect device can be taken out of the signal path. The somehow affects also the best FX part the Ampsound, unfortunately often only for the bad. Second superfeature is the mute function, everything is muted, except for the separate tuner output, which continues to work, only then just silently :)

A typical Diezelsound comes from this monster, it always sounds good, clean like distorted, with the midcut it becomes quite nasty, but the Herbert can not only metal, even if many as him as such shout. With V30er box he looks really angry, with the new Hempcone boxes from Diezel but a super Rockamp, ??also suitable for TOP40 with high guitar sound requirements.

Important: The Diezel needs good boxes independent from the speakers, cheap cardboard boxes are dismantled.

If you can find anything negative at the amp, it's the 180 tube watt. Although the Diezel because of infinite headroom deliberately chosen so, in practice I personally but not even the way the headroom thought, on the contrary, it makes this immense power sometimes difficult to adjust the amp in the tape fine in the volume. Is it too quiet can be a millimeter more on the Volumeknob already too much of the good? - Well, it is not so bad, but you really have relatively little control for quite a lot of power, dosing wants to be practiced there :)

Conclusion: It costs a lot of money, but who is willing to pay for it will be royally rewarded ...

"The Ducati under the high-performance."
Kevin728, 16.07.2010
The quality of the sound is absolute proficiency. Definition, dynamics, assertiveness, tube heat, etc. are at the highest level. The sound is more modern, that is, it sits less with its mids, but rather with its sharp heights. It can cover all musical directions with it (yes even jazz!), Depends only on the guitarist.

The 180 watts allow for an incredible headroom, but also an animal volume, which can also be adjusted to room volume by skillful control of the channel volume and the master, without the sound thereby being ruined.

Although it is a Diezel, tube problems are not spared, if you are unfortunate, you get a couple (or sextet) that after 3 months the mind gives up or one is lucky and the tubes hold to the bitter end.

All existing features, such as mid-cut, second master, 3 loops, mute, tuner-out, MIDI, are very well thought-out and extremely useful.

Best of all! In the Thomann shop I was treated very well, thanks again to Jörg!
