Super sleeve! The fingers walk around with pleasure ... Ebony touch, impeccable finish, Deering strings (much better quality than d'Addario).

On the other hand, the solid steel tone ring has a double disadvantage:

1) the weight of the instrument, rather painful in the long run.
2) the rather aggressive sound (in my opinion more suited to bluegrass than jazz). It's an advantage when you chord chords in jazz band formation (you can hear the banjo!) But it's a little garish about the melodic styles. We find high-end models with tone ring in bell bronze but it is not the same price ..

Aesthetic level = white skin and frankly smooth to change absolutely, although its sound qualities are very correct because it plumbs the appearance of the instrument otherwise quite sought after (marquetterie).
