I leave that to my main instrument
Gero aus D., 18.04.2016
Assembly:

My old Hungarian viola of 36 has been able to tolerate the reconstruction without loss of sound. The strings speak as before. I could mount the pickup myself, took about 20 minutes until I had the bridge straight. First loosen the strings and then the pickup. The bridge has to be tilted slightly in the direction of the finer, since it is pulled in the other direction when tuning. That's why it took so long. Someone with more experience is probably faster or resets everything as soon as tension is on the strings. If you do not trust yourself, go to the violin maker. Property, however, already installed on the double bass a realist, so I was brave. The 1/4 "jack is only" good "on the instrument, I have to occasionally screw the screw because it wiggles, we probably loosely if the cable is often plugged in / out but is without problems, mechanics is very good.

Sound:

A '- super
D - super
G - super
C - too much, very loud in comparison to the other strings, but does not exceed, so you get only more signal than with the others.

Put the viola on a Fishman mini. I think for a homogeneous sound image comes around a preamp with compressor not herrum. The Eq am Amp is not enough to equalize. I had previously tried a Fishman V200, the sound had not convinced me. Sound very artificial, nasal, tinny and there was nothing to save with EQ. Thomann thanks I could exchange the against the realist.

Conclusion:

The pickup remains firmly on my main instrument. Sound is very good, the C- string has something too much bum, but sounds great. Will probably buy me a FsihmanPlantiunum Pro EQ for Compressor and EQ. 1 star trigger sound, my Realist Woodtone on the double bass does not need a preamp or compressor since it is balanced over the strings. 1 star trigger processing for fixing cable connector. A metal solution as with the chinrest would have liked me better. Full points I would not forgive, but is definitely better than the FishmanV200.
