Zyex medium bass strings

Great pizzicato strings for jazz players. The sound and feeling is close to the Spirocore strings, but the tension feels lighter and Zyex is a little easier to bow.

Really liked the strings, but had to replace due to a dent
pros:
- nice, warm sound
- doesn't have a warm-up period like spirocore which have a "zing" effect for a few weeks.
- if your instrument needs to have a high action, the L can recompensate for it
cons:
- too floppy, the sound is not vibrant when bowed unless playing very close to the bridge
- vulnerable for denting, I have to replace a whole set after a really minor hit in the neck, so to speak

Auf der Suche nach den "Traum-Saiten" habe ich die ZYEX aufgezogen. Zum Zupfen für Jazz erste Sahne. Die E-Saite ist anfangs etwas dumpf, habe eine Zeitlang meine alte Spirocore E-Seite benutzt. Passt auch. Mit der Zeit klingen die Saiten aber auch in sich ausgewogen. Die G-Saite schön Sahnig :o
Zum Slappen finde ich sie aber nicht geeignet. Klingen etwas hart und mit meinem Piezo-TA knarzen sie. Hört sich verstärkt etwas an wie verzerrt. Mit dem Bogen kommt ein schöner Ton nur spielen kann ich das nicht :)

Les cordes qu'ont révélés ma contrebasse ! De beaux graves bien amples qui manquaient avec les Helicore hybrid que j'utilisais avant. Un équilibre parfait sur les 4 cordes (le Mi sonne aussi bien que les autres cordes). Bonne souplesse mais avec une diamètre assez important, j'aime beaucoup ce fait. Maintenant, à voir dans la durée !
