Nice starter keyboard for little fingers.
Telecasting, 18.12.2017
The battery powered Casio SA 47 is a good starter-keyboard for young and old alike, with nice polyphony and sounds, representing excellent value for money. I particularly liked this model as it is finished and black and grey, but if a brightly coloured cabinet base is your thing then other SA versions are available.

It has built in tunes to play along with and also a panel of rhythms or even just a drum machine with additional drum-pads.

As a regular keyboard player I did find the 32 mini-keys a little strange as I am used to a CDE bass key-set rather than the FGE on this keyboard, however don't let this concern you ~ because this keyboard is FUN to play and is good enough to give an incentive to new players to upgrade when ready (perhaps to a 49 mini key model) or for others to simply enjoy.

The controls are intuitive and it has a helpful LCD mini-monitor to show what program and function number has been selected although I did find the offset labels on the number pad slightly confusing but it didn't take long to get used to them.

It's a budget priced mini keyboard so don't expect High-Fidelity voices or MIDI ports ~ however what's there is pretty good and I did like the jazz organ sound, it made me smile.

All in all a good little bit of kit, not only for fun but, more importantly, good enough to stimulate an interest in music and perhaps take one on to the next stage of enjoying playing a bigger sized machine.

There is an optional AC Adaptor available at extra cost.

I recommend this keyboard, especially for youngsters of any age.

great value keyboard
smudgeon, 20.05.2020
this is an excellent keyboard for it's price. it's limited in a lot of ways - many of the standard voices are a bit iffy in what they're supposed to be, and the rhythms aren't so useful, but really these are such minor things. the value is excellent. I use it partly for sketching out melodies, partly for my 2 year old son (he hasn't broken it, and not for lack of trying)

Great little keyboard
Peter Sundays, 28.09.2019
I bought this keyboard for my 3 year old son, so he could stay away from my toys ;)
It's very sturdy, has loads of different sounds and it's perfect for him to learn the sound of various instruments. I also like to have it on my lap whilst watching TV and picking up some melody from something I'm watching.
