out of a selection of 7 carbon viola bows in the 69 - 99€ price range that I ordered and tested, this one is my favorite. it looks good, it handles well, it produces a great sound, it has a good allround quality. weight is 69 grams and balance point is at the regular spot (25,5 cm away from the adjuster end).

Great bow!
Nat.B. 10.12.2019
I bought this bow as a second bow just in case something happens to my wooden one when I play concerts with the orchestra, and well, to my surprise, it turns out it was better than my wooden bow..! (which was not cheap and the luthier has good reputation). I play now for a month with it, and I have to say I have nothing bad to say about it. Very good quality : price ratio. The only con I would say is that the hair would probably need changing, but that's if you are picky like me. The Thomann team wrapped it up carefully and sent it in a huge box, so it had no scratches or any damages, many thanks!

Nice for the price !

I already had a cello bow I use whenever I have to play in bad "climatic" conditions, so I went for the viola model too!

It feels very light, almost like a violin bow, but does a great job on my 41.5cm viola (either with wound gut strings or steel). The fixation of the hair in the frog was not excellent at first (piee of wood slightly protruding and not very steady), but it did the job until the first rehairing.

The sound is not as rich as a good wooden bow, but it will make a very decent "second" bow
