Not reliable, but when it works, it's amazing

Pontus, 10.06.2013
The bugera 1990 infinium is amazing, however, it lacks in reliability.

This amp sounds exactly the same as a Marshall JCM900 and has other features such as the infinium valve technology which let's you easily swap tubes and even mix to get tons of sound capability.

The reverb is sadly not a spring reverb but it's acceptable and you won't need an extra pedal or anything like that.

I've had 2 1990 which both broke after a while. I've sent them back and I am now waiting to get my second one repaired. Don't get this and use it live unless you've road tested it thoroughly!

It's just a meaty amp, great in the studio; and with 120w of power, you'd probably make everyone hear you!

So...

Tim947, 06.04.2013
... I was looking for a cheap and nevertheless reasonable tube head as a second amplifier. After some search, I have always come back to the Infiniums of Bugera. After I had tried the 1960 Infinium, I came to this inconspicuous power package, since the 1960 had for my needs not enough torn and I had to buy an extra pedal.
In contrast to the 1960, the 1990 Zerre has fallen to the ground. More than enough to keep sounds in a solo and to sing.
That was the most important thing for me. In addition, the amp does not start to mangle at much tore. And he really does not do so quickly. Only when you turn the gain of the lead channel to 21-22, it becomes somewhat undefined. But that also holds in borders.
However, I still have to say, who plays hardcore metal, should go back to another amplifier. This is clearly more for the blues rock hardrock area. And it sounds really great for this price.
Good mids and clear heights. Just as you want it.

Now to the cleanchannel. What I find a little negative is that you can not supply the clean and leadchannel independently Middle, Treble, Bass and Presents. There is only one stage for both.
Still ... the cleanchannel also convinces. You can really hear the strings and the sound is crystal clear.
Turning the control knob of the Cleanchannels on, you get a nice tweaked sound.
The reverb of both channels is also in order. From 7 onwards he becomes very strong.

Now briefly to the foot pedal or "Tretmine". For that you can not say much, except for the switch itself the case of metal is (very good). Also the cable is very long (also very useful) However, there are no lamps at the pedal itself the indicate in which channel one momentarily. But really
It is not that bad either.

Conclusion: for a comparatively little money (Bugera / Marshall) one gets really a super sound, which of course does not quite approach that of a real Marshall, but comes closer than many other amplifiers I have played (a lot).
So. Long story short. Absolute purchase recommendation for people in the area Blues to Hardrock and with a not over-swelling money bag.
